Hm, I read the simulation aspect of the game has been heavily scaled back compared to earlier Zoo Tycoon games and that the main draw this time around might be the visualisation of and interaction with the animals.

I might just wait till e3 next year to decide to get an xbox or ps4 then. I think mirrors edge is coming out late 2014 anyway so i have a lot of time to decide.

If there was a demo I would say come over and try it. It's made by the same people that made Kinectimals so some of it is going to be super cute. Perhaps you can ask someone in a store to let you try it.

I hear the building of the Zoo is really cool. I might get it if there is a great deal on Black Friday.

You can't always go by reviews. My friend and I played Ryse today - we both really liked it and it felt next very much gen. I found it both creative and challenging (so far). Plus epic music is always good. He is combing back tomorrow with snacks so he can play more.

probably the best choice. Getting a console for one game is silly unless you have a lot of cash to spare. And honestly don't trust critic or user reviews because they are geared toward rating the game for your average gamer who would own that console. And I don't think a typical xbox one owner is buying it specifically for zoo tycoon. So you might find the game much more enjoyable than what the critics and the average gamer do.

Totally disagree with you there :)  Tycoon games are awsome... unfortunately over the last few years they havent been as well made as they should have. I mean Theme Park, Theme Hospital, even Dungeon Keeper is an awesome Tycoon game... (all made by Bullfrog strangely enough)... I still play some of them on and off today.

I think you are misunderstanding the love out there for tycoon games and many reviewers would think the same... it's just no one has yet been able to master the greatness of these types of games recently compared to the past (and adding in things like micro transactions has destroyed peoples love for them on mobile platforms).

I havent tried Zoo Tycoon so cannot comment directly on that game, but it seems to be reviewing quite well.

I wrongly assumed the thread was going to say "Might Buy an Xbox One for.....d21lewis". Totally disappointed.

Be prepared to drive to a Wal-Mart or get a digital copy. Physical copies of these will be rare by next year.

Anyways, you know you really don't want an Xbox One. Stay with the PS4. Just let this sudden interest of Zoo Tycoon fade.... yes fade......... fade.................. now sleep.............. *kiss on forehead* Goodnight young one.
