Yeah not the greatest value for $100. BUT it is a better card than you had previously. To be honest im not sure how you survived with a 7900 for so long!?

I suspect that his main platform's are consoles and maybe even specifically nintendo ones too.

The funny thing is that card he's got is probably more powerful than the WII U LOLOL.

Haha, I love your replies guys. Thanks for all your advice, I think I'm gonna go with the 7770.

Really appreciate the help, you guys rock!

@fatslop: I just bought it today, glad I can confidently return it.

No worries man. I'm glad pema and I could help you out.

If you need any help with your PC just come talk to us because our knowledge of hardware goes unmatched on this site.

Edit: I noticed something even funnier. That HD 7770 is going to match the X1 in performance LMAO. For $100 upgrade you got a better deal than buying a $500 console LOL.

Not too shabs :P Thanks a mil.

Oh and one more thing, don't forget to memory overclock the shit out of that thing because GCN GPUs are known to be bandwidth starved.

Once you get your graphics card go to AMD catalyst control center and click on the "performance" tab. Under there you will see AMD overdrive option under that tab so go click on it. Once your there you will see the "high performance memory clock settings:" you will notice that there is a slider under it. With that slider I want you to set the memory clock to the far right.

With this overclock and the graphics card you are set to game at 720p60fps with med/high settings on modern games. Ahhh the wonders of being a PC master race really hits the spot because the fruit that they bear comes with the knowledge and experience gained over their years.

Ummm no. Should have gotten a radeon 7770HD or Nvidia equivalent as a minimum. Sorry

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

Whats the rest of the PC if I may ask?

First generation Core i3.
Should look into in trying to get a second hand Core i5 750 or i7 860/870/880. :)
Would be a nice kick in the pants performance wise.

To be honest, I thought the PC was older, like Core 2/Pentium D old basing it off your old Geforce. :P

The CPU isn't that bad as long as he stays away from RTS's.

And GTA IV, Battlefield 3/4 on a 64 player server. :P

Thanks. I keep forgetting that it's just not RTSs that have this issue with a bottlenecked CPU.

His graphics card that he's going to get seems to be decent enough as it is.
