Forums - Sales Discussion - Pre-Order Gap Dwindles Between PS4 and Xbox One, Only 10-percent difference between the two next-gen consoles

Haters gonna hate, but not how you think.
Its a failure if Microsoft dont sell more in their own country, it would be a massive PS4 domination

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

Around the Network

The week before Christmas is going to be massive for sales. The 3DS, PS4, and XB1 will move huge numbers, and the PS3 and 360 will be putting up a good fight from last gen.

So by february PS4 may reign in all territories? Damn Sony is back!

I would say that this is good news for the ps4. This would suggest that the ps4 is slightly more popular in the US, which of course the ps3 lost by a significant margin to the X360. Add to this the ps4 has a Europe launch, and then a Japan launch to keep its sales going, whereas the X1 will only have lesser countries in which to launch the X1 (and in the majority of these which will likely be european countries - the ps4 will likely do better). And the X1 is pretty non-existent in Japan. Based on all of this, I would say that you are pretty premature if you are assuming that the gap with the X1 and ps4 will be negligible.
