I would say that this is good news for the ps4. This would suggest that the ps4 is slightly more popular in the US, which of course the ps3 lost by a significant margin to the X360. Add to this the ps4 has a Europe launch, and then a Japan launch to keep its sales going, whereas the X1 will only have lesser countries in which to launch the X1 (and in the majority of these which will likely be european countries - the ps4 will likely do better). And the X1 is pretty non-existent in Japan. Based on all of this, I would say that you are pretty premature if you are assuming that the gap with the X1 and ps4 will be negligible.
