I dunno. I didn't think it would be Zelda at first, but the more people talk about it, the more it fits to me. They were going to show it at E3, but decided against it; then Aonuma was going to show it at Comic Con, but didn't have time to "prepare" it. A VGX reveal just makes a lot of sense.

It basically has to be something that tends to sell better in America than in Japan, so I could see Metroid or Star Fox making an appearance instead, BUT there's no indication that these games are currently in development, much less ready to be shown. A new Bayonetta 2 trailer makes a kind of sense, but I think for a VGX surprise, it ought to be something we haven't seen before -- plus, I don't think Bayonetta 2 is coming out within the next 4 months, making a sudden marketing push kind of pointless.

Soundwave had the idea of an announcement of an eShop port of B1, along with a B2 push. That would be worthwhile news.

Although if Aonuma really was seriously considering unveiling Zelda U at Comic Con and wasn't just saying that (Aonuma says a lot of things), then VGA would be another viable field. It would *only* work if its TP-style Zelda, though. Otherwise it would be a massive PR backfire.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I think Zelda U is actually pretty likely. Bayonetta isn't going to "wow" in the same way as something like that, and they want something to really grab attention once the dust has settled on XBONE/PS4.

Like Wow! look at this new Mario game we just released... AMAZING! What's even more amazing? This MIND BLOWING Zelda shizzle!!!

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

Personally I'm HOPING it's a dark Zelda game, and I don't mean just art. I mean from the perspective of Ganondorf. Maybe even a prequel to Skyward Sword where we figure out why Demise decided to try to take over... which could explain why the "old gods" suddenyl weren't there anymore. I've wondered why Hylia was the only remaining god/goddess. What happened to the others? We may have a complete backstory of link and Zelda and the triforce, but I want the backstory to Hylia and Demise and the old order pre-triforce!

A new Metroid Prime game.

Din, Nayru, and Farore left Hyrule behind entirely. They are essentially higher-order Goddesses (more like capital-G God), while Demise and Hylia (and other gods that make appearances, like in Wind Waker or Twilight Princess) are more like low-G gods.

In Skyward Sword, and as much as I've read in Hyrule Historia I own, I don't recall them limiting the older gods to just being din, nayru, and farore. And even if they did, I'm sure it would be fascinating to see WHY those older order of immortals ascended away from the rest of the world. Why do they allow this seemingly eternal circle between Hylia, Link, and Demise?

Not necessary. I'd be fine with a Hunters 2.

Anything except a Pokemon MMO would be golden. In fact, Nintendo mentioning that they will never make a Pokemon MMO would make me completely fulfilled and happy.

I'd prefer Other M 2 without story and linearity.
