While it seems logical that because of the 360 disc size they can't add dual Audio.. it seems to me that its more of a licensing thing with the japanese voice cast.. paying per download is much cheaper then paying for every western disc out there.. thats also the reason we have to pay for it..

Exactly. This is super reasonable, and I have no idea why people are downing SE for this. Not only do they bother to spend to a good dub (unlike just about every localization company), they're offering this (and it's free if you adopt early). I'd happily pay $5-10 for the Japanese voices for Xillia.

There are a Few games that have both for free like last remnant, xenoblade. Xseed, Namco, Capcom never Have both though.

I think it's great that they listened the fans but I played the first 2 XIII games with English voices so it would ruin it for me to all of a sudden play it with different voice actors!
Nice one anyway SE

Most NISA games have both as well. Atlus and Namco are pretty notorious for leaving it out.

You guys have to realize that the game is also on the 360. Dual audio would take up a lot of space. Of course, since Microsoft requires the exact same amount of on disc content on both PS360 from developers, those of us getting it on PS3 will also have to pay for it.

But there are plenty of PS3 games that have more content than the 360 version, I don't think that excuse is valid here.  They want to punish late adopters that are possibly getting the game cheaper.

How many of those PS3 games that have more content came with the content on disc and were released at the same time?

Here's a few games as example.  Batman Arkham Asylum, LA Noire, Assassin's Creed 3.  The games came with extra content but it was with an included DLC voucher only.  You'll have to read a bit of the article, but there's a quote from a Microsoft rep that tells you why.

Games that are released as remakes or late ports for a Playstation console, Sony requires more content on disc than the original release on another console.  This is why games like Bioshock, Oblivion, and Mass Effect 2 came with some of the DLC on disc when the games were finally released for the PS3.

So it all depends on when the game was released.  Was it a PS360 multiconsole release or did it release on the 360 first.  Lightning Returns is multiconsole, so everything on disc is going to be the same.

50GB of blu-ray space and no room for JP voice, lol?

Didn't realize the 360 used 50GB Bluray discs.

Who was the dumb ass that decided that 360 and PS3 versions have to be identical? Not using a console's capapbilities properly is the fault of the software makers. SE just turned into an asshole company after the merge is all.

It's mandated by Microsoft.

"Titles for Xbox 360 must ship at least simultaneously with other video game platform, and must have at least feature and content parity on-disc with the other video game platform versions in all regions where the title is available,"

Glad I'd rather hear the games I play in English, but for those of you who don't and are getting the game when it drops in price(like me,) just purchase the DLC when it's free. Then download it later when, if, you want to use it.  I'm more upset that some schema is DLC only, but with 80+ on disc, I guess I'm not too disappointed.

Actually this makes sense if you think about it. If it's like $5, then whatever.

Apparently you can download it without even owning the game.

Time to "rip off" Square Enix.

That sounds like a problem with Microsoft then, now my asshole pointing finger can finally go at the right direction.
