Forums - Sales - GameStop: 2.3 Million Customers Waiting for PS4

Insane how the PS4 is beasting.
Just a little more and we can have the PS2 Era back we all wished for.
1 Week to go for Europe!

There will never be a PS2 era. PS2 outsold the Xbox 7:1. PS4 can pray for 2:1 at best at the end of this gen but I'm thinking 1.5:1 best case scenario.

MS is going to sell a minimum of 60 million consoles this gen ... that is a significant minimum portion of the market.

Fact is they have the best marketing team in the business, they have the highest brand appeal in the US, they are very smart in tying their brand to the NFL (Sony may attract more "nerd" gamers, but they are outnumbered by the "jocks" in the US) and simply put they make more money as a company in 3 months than Sony has in 10+ years.

The battle in the West will be more like the SNES vs. the Genesis, this is not going to be a cakewalk for Sony, MS will make them sweat and if they decide to start opening their wallet, possibly bleed too. It's going to be a very competetive generation ... which is just fine IMO ... that's good for consumers.

They better hope to sell another 40m in the US then, cuz nobody is going to buy that much in the rest of the world where half the casual features don't work.

No One Guide
No Live Tv
Voice Commands not available in 8 launch countries
No NFL, or anykind of football for that matter
Won't work in countries that are imported to

They will easily sell 40 million in the US

Make it 50 million then.

360 just sold 41m in US right? Shouldn't be too hard then.

I'm one of those 2.3 million for PS4.

Yeah I didn't think 2.3 million was for PS4 alone.

2.3 million still waiting in NA alone? Well good luck to Sony and MS on trying to fill that sales void.

signing up to be interested is different then purchasing. Look at wii u apparently it had waiting lists. WTF happened to all those customers lol.

I do agree PS4 will win the gen but no way PS2 ERA is back considering PCs are already ahead and there is enough disappointed people in all the hardware out there.

Dammit... who changed my thread?

From the conference call "In addition to selling through all of our reservations and some additional allocation we've received from Sony, we still have over 2.3 million customers on the first to know list which indicates continued demand for months to come."

It is about PS4 only guys... fixing for accuracy... first to know list is unique for the item.

Sorry to disappoint Xbone's dudes.

just an insane amount really. Looks like PS4 will dominate every region.

Sony is on a roll!
