Btw here is the source xD. http://www.siliconera.com/2010/06/15/the-giant-list-of-third-party-3ds-games/ |
If that list meant anything the 3DS would have gotten P4G.
Still not getting excited, I'm just going to keep enjoying Persona 4 Golden and not think about this
PS Is it a good idea to go back and play P3 Portable (or earlier). I have heard that they were great games, just hold nothing on the perfection of Persona 4

The fact is that those promised games from Atlus where real! . That doesn't rule the possibility that Persona 5 could be for 3DS and VITA, maybe Persona 4 Golden was thought as a VITA exclusive but Persona 5 was always with the two consoles in mind. I hope it's the case, I mean it would be a win situation for everyone. VITA owners get Persona 5 and 3DS users get it too. I bet that is going to be the case .

Don't get me started on "promised" games.
That list was made 3 1/2 years ago when the Vita wasn't even out, it really doesn't mean anything.
As for Persona 5 being multiplatform, see the state of these forums after the announcement and really tell me if it is a "win for everyone". You're only saying that because you have a 3DS, I don't see you port-begging for the Vita.

I'm playing Persona 3 FES currently, and its flaws are just making me love Persona 4 Golden even more.

FES? So you're saying after finishing 4, I should go back and play 3, then go and do my second playthrough to platinum 4 (can't get all the s-links in this playthrough....)
Also, I read in 3 that you can't control all your party members? Cause that would suck and really really really annoy me

So far Atlus delivered with every game on the list so far, there is no evidence that they won't release Persona 5 on 3DS!
Development for Persona 5 started around that time too .
Well it's not like it could hurt. Having the series multiplatform isn't a big deal. the SMT franchise was experienced by japanese gamers on the SNES but the third game was on the PS2, and then the fourth game came out in a portable console. There is no pattern for Atlus game releases!
Yeah I have a 3DS but I was considering getting a VITA! My problem though is the ridiculous prices here in Argentina, I would love to get one, I really do! Even the 3DS is expensive, so I got it cheap from a friend xD.
I think it's not a bad idea, they would be expanding the appeal of the series to other platform holders while keeping loyal to the original fanbase. Also the VITA version would be the "definitive version" .
