Promising a next gen game is "locked" at 30fps is like promising that your pay rate is going to stay "locked" at minimum wage.

But it doesn't run 16 all the time, at least. |
This is true. I think it averages mid 20s or so right?
iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

LOL so I went ahead and finished the video. For anyone worried, don't be. A whopping ONE TIME in the entire video the frame rate hits 16, and it's during an unplayable action scene where boulders or rocks are being launched at you and it begins a cut scene. Other than that it remains a nice 26-32 frames per second. And I would say 95% of the frame rate fluctuation occurs during the slow motion execution kills, again when you don't control your character, only the timing of the button press.
I might have missed a couple though. I gotta admit, during a couple of the action scenes I focused on the fierce combat and amazing finishers and not the line on the bottom. And dat execution upgrade tab, can't wait. Bowing out of this thread now.

Yes, but what about the rest o'f the game? What assures us that this occurence does not repeat later in the game? That we won't see such frame rates later on? We can't trust the "solid 30 fps" reassurance,as Ryse runs mostly at sub-30 fps.

This, I stole from grandpa...It's called soap.
I didn't know pre-rendered cutscenes were back in fashion. Also, either this guy is really bad at the game, or he's trying to prove a point. He consistently ignores his objective/command and manages to progress, anyway.
Man, check out the other Roman soldier in the room at the 13:00 mark. What's his problem?

Yeah. It's just it completely conflicts with your perception of 'most' other posters opinions. |
