that lag was terrible and i see no benefit of this compared to just plugging the wiiU directly into the tv and hitting that pesky "source" button.
So in theory you could play the games on the gamepad and have others watch you on the ONE and then tell the xbox to record something cool that happened right?

If the latency wasn't terrible it might be neat.... the Wii U doesn't have an out of game party chat and this could be a way around that if it worked.
Mario and Killer Instinct together again. At last.
Not gonna lie, Mario looks good on that XB1 dashboard.
Could the lag be because the WiiU gamepad is used as a second screen? Will be kind of hard to play if it's like that with a 360 gamepad playing Halo :).
Perhaps Nintendo should start advertise the Wii U as an Xbone accessory.

I don't understand how there could possibly be lag. What is the one doing to the input that is causing it? It should just be running straight through.

even if there was no lag, why would anyone want to do this?
buy 2 systems and power them both on just to play a game

I get it, this way you can have access to both sets of friends lists and you will be able to switch over to Xbox or tv functionality quickly, hell you could even do that and keep gaming because of the game pad. I get your point (and lean more towards it myself) but I can understant the appeal of (the concept of) a seamless entertainment hub.
