Forums - Microsoft - Target X1 numbers (less than Ps4)

To me if they can hit 750k, that's just as impressive as the PS4 hitting 1 mill, considering the XB1 costs $100 more.

First off, it's all about supply not demand. Everything Microsoft can ship will be sold. 750k means they couldn't ship as much as Sony.

On top of that, why in the world would price matter? PS3s been consistently more expensive than the 360, so does that make both on par in America? Noooooooooooooo

I think it would be significant for the industry because we've never seen a piece of hardware priced this high sell in some of the quantities you're talking about. 700k in a week or something for game console that expensive is fairly significant, we saw with the PS3, Sony absolutely collapsed under the weight of trying to sell a $500/$600 console.

If MS can move a significant number of consoles at that price point I think it shows they have a pretty impressive ability to sell in this business.

@BenVTrigger

Oh no.

These consoles are selling so much day one because of the modern economy. Even the Wii U was 400k I think. Comparing gen to gen numbers is silly. You can relatively compare though, in which the $600 PS3 had a better launch than the $400 360.

80* X1s, yeah I mean i can see why its not all that believable tbh. But on launch day PS4 it took us less than a hr to sell out our stock of PS4 in electronics, I don't really gain anything from lying about it haha. Ima ask the guys again but they didnt seem all that phased saying that we had 80 xbox's as if it wasnt a big deal at all. Whats the average basket size per guest/redcard conversion at your store btw?just curious

dude, i checked new york. Now unless it isnt in new york then your lying. Give me the store number and ill double check and send you a picture of that store and the every store within 20miles.

Your right about the X1 numbers i was misinformed, we have 30-33 X1s and only 22 were preordered so theres less like 10 or less unpreordered ones.

We did tho get 60 PS4s.

I dont gain anything from lying to you I spent years lurking this forum man lol I was just giving info on what was going on with my target cause it was actually something i can talk about.

That sounds about right. I just left work though so i cant double check.

The Target here had about 20 preordered Xbox One's and 12 PS4s according to the guy in electronics when I asked him a few weeks ago.

Well I went to my target at opening 8AM, I saw they had about ten black Xbox's on one side and about 15 green ones on the other behind the electronics counter.

This fits with what the guy on phone told me. The black ones were the 10 preordered ones, and ~15 green were first come first served (the phone guy told me 6, so obviously they did get another shipment as he suggested).

Only about 4 people were lined up to get Xbox, so they had ten+ readily available to anybody who walked in when I left.

Good thing you didnt post in this thread before the x1 launched so i could have easily called you out like 2 other people. No store that i have seen recieved more than 18. And trust me, ive checked large populated stores

My local best buy numbers. Kinda shocking. Especially with everyone say numbers are gonna be in favor of ps4 by a 1.5 ratio.

Ps4 pre orders - 108. Available - 25 = 137
Xbone pre orders - 97. Available - 45 = 142

The exact same content was already posted by another account. Now this poster logs in and this is his first post?

Also, the last time I looked at it, it didn't seem to make sense. It still doesn't.  It's a copy/paste job.

PS4: 108+25 = 133 not 137

Xbone: 97+45 = 142
