Hmmm you guys seem to carry low supplies of consoles.

That being said yes, X1 shipments are indeed smaller. Dont think there's any chance is has a better 1st week than PS4 in NA. That being said its not a massive discrepancy, they'll be within a few 100k of each other.

I will say demand however seems MUCH higher than PS4s launch.

Would you say the demand is mostly higher because of dudebros/middle core?

30% is still a few hundred k. Which is what the two districts that i pay the closest attention to are representing. However, its clear that every random market i searched (LA, Chicago and Madison) are also showing less shipment.

As for demand wouldnt you think that would be because less people were able to preorder them so more people are still looking for one.

Anyway, i'm glad you posted considering the replies ive been getting.

Yeah Im not disagreeing.

From what Im seeing prob 700k is easily doable for X1.

And certainly the lower amount of pre orders are leading to the bigger X1 launch demand. However that does reflect MS is still in a healthy spot in NA. The next 12 months will be interesting.

My Ps4 numbers were accepted and wasnt met with such hostility. The pictures will prove i have access to multiple districts (aka any store and district i want) and the one saying 80units in one store is lying. (So far havent seen more than 16 in any of the stores compared to 24 for the ps4. And ive done searches for large cities). .

I actually called my target today!

He said they were scheduled to get 16 Xbox's. 10 of which were already preordered leaving 6 for "first come first serve".

I asked if they expected to get any more before launch, he said possibly, but then noted they only got "like 15" PS4's, so that might be it.

So at my target, they evidently got more Xbox One's.

The numbers seem low for such widely available consoles (as evidenced by 1m PS4's sold). I guess Target just doesn't get much allocation.

Lol @ Target. Anyway I'll be looking forward to VGChartz numbers they should be a good estimate unless MS decides to publicly announce what they sold on launch week.

Yes, Laugh at the company that has 2000 locations in North America. The company that has been expanding while other retailers have been going bankrupt or closing locations. Like it or not, Target is a huge retailer

They are a huge retailer but, they are more female oriented, and judging by the numbers thrown around by yourself and my call, they dont seem to be getting a lot of next gen consoles in.

Seems like Amazon, Best Buy, Wal Mart will be huge and Target more minor for next gen consoles.

Also, we need to keep in mind Xbox is ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS MORE. If it even sells close to PS4 imo, that's amazing. Imagine if it was 399!

If it wdre 399 it would still sell less than the ps4. MS DOES not have the stock

Guess my sample size is so tiny /sarcasm

I had to drive a few hundred miles to get that iformation

For the doubters, Target having about 25-30% less stock is cross country.

To me if they can hit 750k, that's just as impressive as the PS4 hitting 1 mill, considering the XB1 costs $100 more.

First off, it's all about supply not demand. Everything Microsoft can ship will be sold. 750k means they couldn't ship as much as Sony.

On top of that, why in the world would price matter? PS3s been consistently more expensive than the 360, so does that make both on par in America? Noooooooooooooo
