Forums - Nintendo - What are your thoughts on Nintendo's Current Virtual Console on Wii U...?

The last time I checked the VC it was pretty barren with about the same amount of Virtual Console games this past July, which was around 24 (could be way off). I'm not sure what it is now, but I want to guess less than 45. Last I checked it read Super Mario Bros 3 coing soon. I understand Nintendo want the games to have full functionality with the Gamepad, no lag, and with Miiverse support as well. But is anyone here actually happy with the Virtual Console? I know I'm not satisfied.

Where's the GameCube games, hell, where are the N64 games as well. I thought we were told they were coming, or at least talked about bringing them over. Nintendo's got such a rich past and they are sitting on some of the best games. These games could also help a little with droughts, which Nintendo will most likely run into in 2014. This is not a bash thread, but I'm just disappointed with the slow releases.

What are your thoughts? Am I being too unrealistic with my demands? Comment below.

It's shit and they need to seriously fix it. The current games are fine, but they seriously need to match the Wii VC's library size with one massive VC update. And add Gamecube games. And then Wii games. PS4 is doing it with Gaikai. Step it up.

Needs F-Zero X.

This. Nintendo, you razy.

It is absolute shit and I feel like I wasted my money on the premium WiiU for that Nintendo Network Premium crap program. I planned on buying so many VC games but there are ZERO worthwhile games =(

EarthBound is awesome...
That's the only redeeming quality it has...
The service has other wise been horrendous at best...

Have a nice day...

It's very disappointing so far. I had expected Wii U's VC to continue from where Wii VC left off, not start from scratch again. -_-

This makes my Basic Wii U look better, lol. But yeah, I completely agree, I bought a couple and they're fun, but most are shovelware, or really obscure. I wanted and expected so much more from Nintendo.

I can understand them having to put it on the gamepad and with no lag, but it's too long and there's only a few worthwhile titles. I'd love if Snap and Paper Mario were put on, but I feel like that's years a way and that's just inexcusable.

Years away???

At this rate that's several console generations away...
