Try to educate yourself before you write something like this.

1. Every dev knows they are supposed to develop for the tablet. Everything else is optional. Only multiplayer games need wiimote/pro controller support (and adding this is no work at all)

2. How is the online worse? You start a game and you play it online end of story. (you asking wheter it needs friend codes or not shows that you didnt even try)

3. WTF?
Got a WiiU for 170 bucks (white basic) + everyone that has a Wii already has several controllers for WiiU (so they dont have to buy anything at all) The WiiU classic controllers are cheaper than PS3 Dualshocks. And the WiiU has not at all same graphics as PS360.

Counter question. If 80m people have a PS3 why would they pay 400 bucks for a PS4 system with less games and worse online (it costs money because devs are greedy and dont want you to host your own servers!) Its 2 out of the 3 negative arguments you mentioned for the WiiU. What is your answer?

About the 3DS:
The 3DS priority part is totally correct. The 3DS is successful it can nullify every financial WiiU loss. Focusing on WiiU can harm the 3DS and therefore Nintendo as a whole.

I dont understand that Wii games part. Do you want Wiiware games to be ported to WiiU or do you want that Nintendo develops new exclusive stuff for the WiiU eshop? Lets call it"WiiUWare?" My guess is every person they have is working on blockbuster 3DS (to get money into the company) and now WiiU games (even if its just supporting role)
its all about the Nintendo blockbusters now. (Wiiware, download only, indie =/= system seller so it would be a waste of manpower right now. So its not a priority)

About the third parties:
Every person saying "We wont bring games to system XY because of low userbase" is NOT SMART AT ALL and nothing of value would be lost would they suddenly be removed from earth.

Everything has a low userbase at the beginning. Its just shareholders whining etc.

Its in their own interest to have as many potential customers as possible but todays industry is stupid and greedy and lazy. They want SHORT TERM PROFIT without work. Every person that has a small idea whats going on knows that you need short term LOSS to get long term profit and LTP is what you want not STP.

look at Microsoft the first Xbox generation was a loss and the 360 is between loss and profit. They keep going because they understand how the industry works. Companies that give up on a system just to come back when its more profitable tought the userbase that the userbase can survive without that company (because they already did up untill the point when the company came back).

COD is not HUGE on Nintendo systems because the most important game in the series was 1 year late and the franchise could not establish itself because everyone who wanted that game bought PS360 to play it and now has his/her friends over there. The sequal didnt even cout out at all..... so if not because MW1 being 1 year late it was because of MW2 that the Wii COD userbase left.

Just compare post ModernWarfare sales to COD 3. COD3 sold almost identical on Wii and 360 even tho the 360 was out a year earlier.

The only ones being at fault for third party games bombing in Nintendo consoles are the third parties. (why is there so many Jrpgs on 3DS but not on WiiU/Wii?)

Nintendos biggest mistake IMHO was the Name + similar design   (there is no need to have a similar name to have success just look at the DS that outsold EVERY single Gameboy!)

hyperbole baby, one side is making fun of the lower resolution of the X1 on certain games and the other is making fun of the PS4 issues with frame rate stability

Here is why the WiiU struggled:

1. Games
The games that Nintendo was going with (Casual 1st party + core 3rd party) was not a winning formula by virtue of casual games losing appeal on Nintendo consoles.

3D World will fix that stigma.

2. Price
People already have a Wii and are not convinced they need to upgrade. The U's pricepoint is an obstacle to them.

3. Marketing
Nintendo's marketing is bad, in that it doesn't address some of the simplest roadblocks people may have (the name, why the need to upgrade, what games are fun to play). They are not aggressive in their marketing at all, it seems like they were happy to rest on the Wii's success. Hello wakeup call!

Luckily they are fixing that.

4. The tablet
What Nintendo doesn't realize is that people aren't stupid. After having been so accustomed to the awesomeness that the iPad/iPhone and other smartphones brought in, people are not impressed by the single-touch, stylus-controlled tablet.

All other reasons, to me, are secondary (even the 4th one above is). Without the first 3 above, Nintendo will always continue to struggle.

Which makes it all the more tragic that Nintendo doesn't give it the love the device deserves nor apparently built the system to house it as the main controller given the reluctance to offer it as a standalone device for purchase or games that feature two or more Gamepads being operational at once.

But while retreads of issues brought up before, I agree with the OP's thoughts in regards to the controllers. But overall the Wii U is more confused then a normally dull but happily married 40 year old person that has only had a handful of partners at a sober office party on alcohol and finding themselves making out with someone of the same gender in a dark room for the first time.

There is nothing wrong with Wii U. It is the single greatest gaming system ever invented. People are just stupid is all. No lie.
