I think you are a wise for accepting that no relationship is perfect or can be. As long as you know what your deal breakers are, minor incompatibilities will have to be accepted.

Yep, seriously. It was around the time when I first joined. It was a thread and poll about how often you masturbate, and I came on crying about how she and I rarely have sex anymore because we're losing interest, and even admitted we were thinking of sleeping with other people. Wow, what a difference a year makes.

I've  made it a point to tell her every day now, and it's certainly  helping!

My problem before was that I held my friends and whoever I dated to high standards and didn't really allow people much room for error, and ironically it took a conversation with the person I dated before her to bring it to my attention. I've since learned to get better at accepting people for what they are and not what I think they could/should be, and that has really helped alleviate much stress for the both of us.
