I think you are a wise for accepting that no relationship is perfect or can be. As long as you know what your deal breakers are, minor incompatibilities will have to be accepted.
Also please remember when it gets tough that the grass is rarely if ever greener on the other side. It's sometimes better to stick together through the storm.
