Again, the forum is for people to express an opinion. Not all people will have the same opinion and a negative opinion has just as much right to be here as Selnor's contant, overblown hype and excitement for anything Xbox related.

There is no doubt that Killer Instinct lacks content and its one of the primary reasons why scores are so "low". Not every review has been full of praise, while certain reviews have had nothing but praise. Mixed bag. Not a full game yet good enough to buy at some point.

Civil manner is subjective.

The opinion you gave is fine. But go look at what KD has said, its not as reasonable. He entered this thread by calling KI the worst reviewed fighter in the last 8 years then gave us a list of cherry picked games. I consider that trolling and it only derailed discussion. Disagree if you want.

But I do have an interest in KI, as I love all kinds of fighters and Ki 1+2 are among my old school favs.  There are lots of games I don't comment on, those I have no interest in.  Just because I'm not singing praise for it doesn't mean there is no valid basis for discussion.

Also I never said people should not enjoy KI, it gets low scores like some games I play, I see your assertion and it is wrong.  I see low scores for KI and hope my issues with the game are part of the reason for those scores, so that if the game gets a sequel the sequel will be better. 

Is it 'sad' because I want the series to improve and be more like classic KI?

Oh and I will play this, I'm bound to have at least one friend who buys an Xbone, I'd buy the game on it if he didn't.  We might even have fun, even if I think it should be better!   Gasp.

Well, seems that the fighting mechanics are solid and the main issues is lack of content.

Looks like a solid foundation, and Xbox just found their exclusive fighting IP.



Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

I will rule the back in forth here as blind console war anger rather than actually on the topic of Killer instinct.

This is the way I see it. One can be critical of a game they never played based only on the opinions of those that have reviewed the game. But those are just opinions and in actuality don't count for all that much. take for instance:

Battle field 4 with a metric score of 87 is "apparently" the best current gaming option for PS4 gamers. That didn't stop cod ghost, a metric 77 (10 points lower) to sell over twice as much games on just about every platform. so the opinion scale is tipped. despite 21 or so opinions respected ones I guess ruled battle field the better game, gamers at large said screw that they say call of duty was the better choice.

Personally, I won't say the ghost is better, I only played cod and I can go off reviews for BF4 but that isn't fair, we all know it isn't fair.

Any one making fun of knack that didn't play it, is just being a MS fanboy. Anyone defending knack that has a ps4 but decided not to get knack is being a hypocritical Sony fan boy.

My point is play what you want. Why do people always have to justify their own dealings by dumb attempts at putting something else down?

The way I see the reviews system is for undecided people. if your not sure and the scores are bad don't buy. But as for KI, I don't care what score a few people give it I'll be getting it. you can always find 21 people that loves or hates a certain game..........

Uhmmm... bullshit. You said KI was the worst reviewed fighter of the last 8 years. That simply wasn't true. Just admit your choice of words were incorrect.

I didn't compare KI to mobile phone games. I mentioned several console games. Modern handheld consoles are very powerful and shouldn't be neglected.  They can and have delivered experiences at par with home consoles in the fighting genre.

It should also be noted you were comparing $60 titles to a $20 game that's incomplete.
