ease of use is shit on PC... it has been for 2 decades.... OS X did a little step forward but it's getting really old and win 8.1 an other one but people are still stuck with the old desktop shitty outdated configuration which is barely still good for work and that's it (whu do you think tablet and smartphones are eating up the PC market??? it's not the price Ipads and a lot of high end smartphone are more expensive than basic PCs that do just as much and more)

It is a complete pain to have a PC to enjoy multi channel of entertainement easily and conveniently.... unless maybe if you are a major nerd and build a custom OS and UI based of linux..... and even then maybe if you hook up a tactil pad to it like some HTPC set ups I have seen... but then again you have to be a major nerd to even come close to the convenience and ease of use of console on a PC....

I have 5 different OS running at home (OSX, win8.1, win7, linux ubuntu, linux suze) and had many more experience with other os from debian to freebsd to mint etc... and with custom build hardware from the 300 bucks shitty laptop to the 3k+ power house gaming rig and HTPC non of which come close to a console when it comes to entertainement consumption in a nice easy to use package and I'm not even starting with price when you see how much kinect cost for a PC and how unpractical legacy software is compare to apps and controll input... like I want a keyboard and mouse in my living room to just play music, videos or even play games..... I ain't a PGA athlete I could care less about accuracy of controls with a 200 bucks adjustable mouse to have the edge on the 12 year old that is kickong my ass in MP.... and having 4k pixel res on a 30 inch display or even 3 all alone at a desk compare to seating in front of a 1080p 65 inch display in my living room with my massive 5.1 set up with my friends and familly beats it....

so yeah PC for entertainement sucks big time unless you are a major nerd or like to waste time and money for not much....

You're calling PC gamers "nerds".
Have you forgotten you're on a website/forum which is dedicated to video games and their accompanying hardware? Not to mention with an excess of 3,000 posts... You can't get more nerdier to be honest.

As for the rest of your rambling against the PC, it's humorous, do keep it up, those "in the know" simply know it's not true.

If digital foundry's tech report on this game is to be believed, I expect worse scores than Knack.

Execpt DR3 is a lot deeper (200+ weapons, combo vehicles, ugrade sytem etc. etc.) and more fun then Knack and the story is better also.

I'm sorry but to me, a game that runs at 1280x720 on a "next gen" system and drops as low as 18 fps with textures popping up everywhere, is a broken game that shouldn't have released at all. But if you can live with that, kudos to you.

It has a few issues but I can live with that it doesn't have more issues then any of the previous DR games and I liked all of those.  Give me a deep fun game with lots of replay value over a shallow good looking game any day of the week.

i'm not sure and maybe this game is gameplaywise great
but a 720p /30fps game+zombieAI=no AI wouldn't be called a technologycel masterpiece even on current gen(especially not with such graphics).

sounds to me he is either blind or he got a nice envelope with some money in it=presstitude review sponsered by Capcom?

money bribes for reviews is a complete myth.....

that said on the bold part you got your finger on it.... this guy obviously is not rating the technical graphic achievment of the game and apparently of any game looking at his other reviews but the fun factor of the game which IMO is the most important part for a console game.... in other words he is more likely to give a good grade to an indie low res bad frame rate game that is fun to play than he is to give a AAA title with just amazing looks and nothing fun or new behind.... I'm not saying the game deserve a 10/10 but I agree with his way of rating things on the fun value over the technical achievement....

it's like music I know countless of drumers, bass players, guitar player that are technical monsters.... it doesn't make their music more enjoyable and fun to listen than way less technical musicians...

the guy is obviously RATING the technical achievement(just read the text)

money bribes for reviews is a complete myth....

lolololol.

It is the easiest way to get a good rating.

You 'll have to invest 20mio+ dollars + hire very skilled guys to get half a dozen unbiased 10 out of 10 game, but you only have to pay a few 10thousand dollars to get the same effect.

Seems you don't know how media works?

I'll quote Seymour Hersh(most famous +rewarded journalist on planet earth)about the state of Media.

"We lie about everything.Lieing has become the staple"

And if you want to know how simple this works:Wiki Noah Chumskies Propaganda model.

or do some research about Randolph Hearsts creation of the spanish-american war(the first media war in history)

Of course those guys are not so stupid to buy 10 out of 10 ratings for bad games as this would be too obvious and destroy trust and reputation, but a 10 out of 10 for a 8 or 9 game is easy to be bought and will create more hype and attention than a 50 mio dollar advertising campaign

Corporations are paying and buying politicians again and again and again(calingl it lobbyism, donation etc)they have been caught manipulating ratings(eg Lehman AAA+ one day before they crashed)the libor, building cartells etc etc but they can't manipulate such an easy thing like game ratings???-do you really believe this??

Considering the game is 720 and 30fps and still suffers from technical issues I have a very hard time believing this review. The game could be fun but it is far from perfect and a 10/10 is a review for games that are supposed to be near perfect.

Time and time again, I've seen high profile games score consistently high regardless of quality. GTA IV is a prime example of that. That game could bore me to death, and yet it had scored 10s everywhere. Then there are games like Too Human on the X360, which I enjoyed massively, yet every "gaming journalist" buried that game.
I couldn't care less about what gaming media has to say anymore.

(A bit off topic... but anyway!)

Too Human has horrible controls and a super generic story it deserved all the bad reviews it got.   Plus it took for ever to develop for that reason alone it should have been a lot better.

It got a 9/10 from Destructoid, their review really got me pumped up for the game, seems like a lot of fun.

And, also, that douchebag Chris Carter said it is the best next gen game he played so far, he usually is pretty sincere in his reviews...

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

yeah and ???? I completely embrace the fact that I'm a nerd.... heck right now I even wear busted glasses can't hardly get more cliche than that can you???

and that's exactly because I know what I am talking about that I can openly admit PCs are the shittiest way to consume mass market entertainement... the set up alone makes it a teadious way to do and it unless you live in a small appartment where your desk and living room is pretty much one... (dorm room style)... but for famillies and especially the wifey using a PC as entertainement hub is a  pretty shitty unpractical solution...

until 20-25 years old I use to build the meanest rig possible every 5 to 7 years and hook it up to my other entertainement device (TV, sound system etc) now I'm done with that crap it is not worth it... I'm better of with a console a nice hybrid in the likes of a surface pro 2 and a nice smartphone than with any expensive rig... hands down and the entire family from the youngest cousin to the oldest grandpa agrees with that.....
