I read online if you take it to a sony store, they'll give you a replacement unit on the spot.

Wish you luck.

Also, I read online that Costco has LIFETIME refunds for consoles and video games (as long as you have receipt of course). Might vary between locations but some have returned their $600 PS3 for full and bought PS4 with that money.

I never said that nothing else can be hacked, you're putting words into my mouth, my issue is Sony wasn't exactly "great" at handling the entire ordeal.

Costco ended the lifetime warranty a long time ago. Probably because of the 360... Besides, I dont think costco even carries consoles anymore...
