I sold mine but I can bet you that it's still working to this day because I opened it up and upgraded the heat sinks and fan LOL. Also modded the case a little bit, so it's quieter and has better air flow too haha.

Haha, that is an amusing tidbit. I agree. Xbox fans really can't talk shit about defective rates, percentages or the likes when they calmly admitted to being on their 3rd or 4th 360, like it's absolutely normal and understandable.

That being said, it looks like the PS4 defective rates might be higher than the .04% reported. Either way, it sucks for such a thing to happen to any console, especially when its out so early. Hopefully, the number of affected people doesn't grow.

I lived in an Xbox community (Read: All my friends had Xbox's but me), and I don't actually remember any time any PS2 gamer gave Xbox fans a hard time.  IT was always Xbox fans gloating about how awesome halo is, how awesome online gaming was, and how terrible Sony was.  Weekly rants about how much better the original Xbox was, despite the fact that, unbeknownst to me at the time, Sony was royally kicking Xbox's ass into the ground and stomping a mudhole in it.  

There was a period in my life where I was a toooootall nintento fanboy (All my life except the years between 2009 and 2012), and I was impartial to other consoles, and I never saw Sony fanboys harassing the shit out of other consoles the way other console fanboys tore the shit out of everyone.  Hell, in my personal experience, it was N64 people constantly bitching out Sony for its 'inferior' tech.  I didn't see any instances of sony fanboys harassing others till the PS3 came out, and that seemed almost entirely in reaction to how aggressively Xbots targetted Sony's failings.  

Even then, the only real discourse was "PS3 has no games" Rebutted by "But at least our system WORKS".  And that was the extent of it until 2009 when PS3 got better, and the Xbox assault died down a bit.  

so no, PS2 fanboys didn't need to be fanboys because they so handily won the 5th and 6th generations that they didn't have any reason to be insecure about their chosen platform.
