I have done the same and have found only slight wear over the last month or so. I do think the rubber is very soft and some heavy thumbed gamers will experience issues, but some of these pictues being posted are laughable.

Analog sticks on ps4 controller are garbage and you know it, just look at my ds3 after playing 1000s online FIFA games, and my ds4 looks like shit after 150 games of fifa 14. There are hundreds of reports about the problem on Polish ps4 forums. Stop denying it.
