sorry I had a question too.
as far as people walking in and not being able to purchase a ps4, are they buying a different console, and if so, which console?

You post is written from the perspective as though we automatically would know who you are and why you would have apparently have insider knowledge, but your profile and your post does not provide information on who you are either way to support that.
Sony published they sold are 1miilion day one.

Who are you ?

He works at Gamestop. Not sure of the position but possibly a store manager and/or regional store manager. He has access to plenty of data and has a very good track record over the years.

You can trust what he says.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

Wow, thanks for the info. Lots of great stuff to hear.

Now for the European launch!

Hmmm BenV thanks for the update

Also you say we could be looking at another PS2..im not sure in what sense you mean that games, sales, dominance etc.? But anyways in your previous thread you created you said Xbox One will have a successful launch as well...i dont see how we can have another PS2 if Xbox One will be very popular...

thoughts?

By the next PS2 I mean huge sales. Its WAY too early to definitively say but the sales / demand for PS4 are unlike any console Ive ever seen.

Time will tell if it can continue the momentum but its off to a fantastic start.

They arent buying other consoles mostly just asking to be put on a wait list for when we get more. The PS4 will be very difficult to get in the USA for the next 3 or so months.

Is this based on NA numbers?

the Xbox has always been popular in the US. Now the PS4 is going to do more damage elsewhere, so it's not going to be pretty.

We are talking only US right?

The way I see it...if PS4 is anything like PS2 then that will have a major impact on the success of the Xbox One and to a lesser extent the WiiU. I dont see how one can dominate and the other remains successful as well. Especially given the numbers of 360/wii/ps3 in the US. Success willobviously be relative to the old gen.

Thats just my opinion i could be wrong. I think we will see a 55/45 % split this gen in the US (talking PS4/XO here). I'm still not sure which console will get the upper hand though.

I think it's too early to gauge if the momentum in the US has shifted to Sony.
