Hmmm BenV thanks for the update

Also you say we could be looking at another PS2..im not sure in what sense you mean that games, sales, dominance etc.? But anyways in your previous thread you created you said Xbox One will have a successful launch as well...i dont see how we can have another PS2 if Xbox One will be very popular...

thoughts?

the Xbox has always been popular in the US. Now the PS4 is going to do more damage elsewhere, so it's not going to be pretty.

I was speaking specifically about US though. If the PS4 can pull off the sales of the PS2 in the US then I dont think theres room in the indutry for the XBox One to also be successful sales wise.

You post is written from the perspective as though we automatically would know who you are and why you would have apparently have insider knowledge, but your profile and your post does not provide information on who you are either way to support that.
Sony published they sold are 1miilion day one.

Who are you ?

You really should learn to understand we all already know him. Just because you are new doesnt mean you can redicule one of the best memebers VGC has ever seen.

He knows what hes talking about. Because he sells the bloody systems.

Well guys its been both fun and stressful working the PS4 launch. I thought I'd stop by and give you an update on how things are trending at launch.

1. Sony is back with a vengeance.  The momentum of the PS4 is currently nothing short of astounding.  While the 1 million sales in 24 hours number is impressive Sony could've sold somewhere in the region of 2.5 to 3 million had they provided the inventory.

2. We can't meet demand. Our phones are ringing off the hook,  customers are asking to pay huge amounts to secure one, and all stores are at or nearly at 100% sell through. Dont expect excess amounts of stock till late February or March of next year.

3. Cry for Knack, smile for Killzone.

4. COD, AC, and BF4 are King.

5. Switching to pay for play online was a good business choice. Massive increase in PS+ memberships.

6. Failures are real, but far too early to assess the percentage

In closing PS4 just had the most successful console launch in history. As long as Sony brings the games we very well may be looking at another PS2.

Now the countdown to X1 begins........

1. we know

2. where do u work?

3. ok?

4. ok?

5. obvious

6. tell me one electronical device which has had no failures

Whats the purpose of this thread?

SMH Turkish!!

How could you not know who BenVTrigger is!? You've been here long enough. The guy was asked to make this thread as it's his job to know this stuff.

Nice to see you back around, Ben.

And thanks for the feedback. It's going to be fun watching where the demand is at for Xbox1 :)

This holiday season will be amazing in here!

Great update, good to see you back as well. I did laugh at the cry for knoack and smile for killzone though, poor knack. lol

Anyways, keep up the good work and good luck with everything especially since you'll be just as busy next week with X1.

If I was to ask one question though, do you think Sony or Microsoft will have good supply of PS4/X1 for Black Friday? I would really like to see the momentum and supply keep up for such a huge month.

To bump my question.
Do you think killzone:SF can be the best selling killzone to date?

Sorry Somini, havent followed much threads of him, so he works at gamestop? His OP doesnt really have much more info than what we already know. Sure PS+ memberships increased, it was bound to happen for multiplayer. Sure there are failures, it would be handy if he could give us an estimate of how many people reported faulty consoles in his gamestop.  Knack had less hype than Killzone. COD, AC, BF4 are big sellers, no surprises there and in line with most people's expectations... This thread would be interesting if he provided hard data and went into specifics rather than an anecdotal account.

It looks like stan/Kyle/Cartman/kenny will not getting a PS4/Xbox one at black friday =p. Would not be surprised that at the end of the episode they are all are crying because they got a WiiU (except butters).
