So suddenly the media is important again? Please tell us which sites wrote that.
I think user census is probably pretty much in favor of P4G if you read in rpg forums or read user comments on amazon (5 star ratings on german and american amazon for P4G is pretty sick for a game) or metacritic. And while I liked Xenoblade its nowhere (!) near the perfection P4G is in terms of content, level of detail and atmosphere. P4G shits on any RPG released since the PS1 era, thats why P5 is going such a huge deal for Atlus' future.

Read the verdict
And this is an example, there's plenty more where that came from.

He says the best game of the past 5 years. I don't have to tell you that's not a decade, right? And this is a review before the game with the better metacritic was released.
Cbarros keeps falling back on "Media said it not me" so I'm curious to see if he has an example of media making his exact claim.

Not a chance. Microsoft owns the IP as MS owns the IP for Blue Dragon and Lost Odessey. MS allowed BD on DS as it was not a competing system. Nintendo owns The Last Story IP. Mistwalker works the same way Treasure does. who ever publishes thier games owns the IP. So Mistwalker does not own any IP rights. |
Cry On, something a lot of people didn't know, wasn't a project funded by MS. MS only funded Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey (and they own the IP as well). Cry On was the only project Mistwalker did by themselves, but they were going to publish it on the MS console because it was an HD project and they disliked Sony.
They cancelled it because they found that the market wasn't viable, but that shouldn't stop them to try again with the WiiU.

yeap, that is because everything they say about the game is true. I spent 180 hours on it so, yes.

You are aware that P4G was released and reviewed after Xenoblade, so these reviwers might have changed their opinions? I mean its easily among the better ones (maybe best, whatever), but all this "best here and there" is nonsense. Especially if you take stuff like that as your argument and P4G's numbers basically disprove them right away. And your own opinion doesnt make a game "the best" either. I played every somewhat decent jRPGs of the last 10-15 years and there is nothing comparable to P4G since the PS1 era imho (!). But that doesnt make it the best.
