The XBox One is going after a totally different audience this holiday, largely going to be 18-35 year old males who are hardcore gaming enthusiasts that have $500 burning in their pocket. NOA's holiday push this holiday is pretty much centered entirely around the family/kids market. Their TV advertising is fairly indicative of that. As long as SM3D World is out before Black Friday, that's fine. |
I can agree on the demographic here, but I still think it steal a lot of the thunder the game could have. Good enough marketing and the world of mouth could still do it though. The thing is that the Wii U is drowned by the PS4 and Xbox One's on shelves, and it's sure to take away sales from the Wii U.
