The movie was pretty much exactly like the first one with a few minor differences.

The hunger games 6/10
Catching fire 7/10

and just like the first movie the highlight was yet again the talkshow host ( Stanley Cucci's character)



If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

Was it better than the first one? I found the first one decent, but the tone of it all didn't suit its message, and it left out way too much from the book. I'm more hopeful about this one since they ditched the shaky-cam and got the director of I Am Legend, which I loved.

Catching Fire was amazing!! Defiantly a great improvement from the first, it was great!!! Its one of the few movies I actually watched twice in theaters (Watched it today and yesterday).

I was skeptical on how Johanna would be portrayed in the movie ( was worried they would cut most of her lines and make her a side character) but was so happy she got to be an important role in the film! She was just as badass in the movie as she was in the book. (:

The tone doesnt really change much just more tension between the people and the capital this time and the directing is MUCH better, no more shacky cam no more ridicoulos angles the movie looks much, much better. Also Catching Fire follows the book much better I saw it twice and very few things were left out of this movie that was in the book. IMO I thought it was a lot better then the first. After I saw the first movie I felt it was "meh" its was good but not that good. This time after seeing Catching Fire I thought it was great defiantly a good movie.
