Wow, Wii U 50k-60k, Vita below 30k.

3DS > Everything else combined.

Ze overtrackzies:

Wii U: 26k-36k

Wii: 12k-22k

Vita: 6k

PS3: 29k-49k

360: 51k

3DS: 11k

This gen belongs to 3DS, PS4 and XB1. Everything else will die off soon or plod along.

Stark contrast to the 5 platforms last gen.

Yeah I think so too. Though I don't think 3DS will have the length of lifespan that the DS did, I suspect it will start to gas out by the second half of 2015. Nintendo has exhausted a lot of their resources/big gun IPs just to get the 3DS to this point and already revised the system twice.

And I think XB1 is going to get off to a slow start.

GameCube sold 168k it's first October (same as Wii U this year).

So 168k GameCube vs. 59k (at best) Wii U for October 2002 vs October 2013.'

#'s look good, not really surprised by anything.

It is near the end of the end....

Just wow

Bets with Conegamer:

Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.

Fullfilled Prophecies

Just realized this actually includes the first two days of the NSMBU/Luigi bundle.  Hard to say what impact it had if any.  Pretty safe to say it didn't have a Japan like spike, but that wasn't really expected.

120k
So Beyond: Two Souls is quite heavily over-tracked then at 206,274 on Vgchartz.

Hrm, I'm going to revise my Wii U November prediction to 250k.

That's still a generous 4x+ increase from October which is rare for even big time platforms.

That's also assuming the PS4/XB1 launches don't impact the Wii U much.

GameCube went from 168k in October 2002 to 460k (approx) in November 2002 IIRC, so that's about a 2.7x increase, so I am giving Wii U quite a bit of a benefit of the doubt.

Man, the handheld market has really plummeted since the PSP/DS days. The only chance Sony has of getting the Vita to sell more is do what Nintendo does with the 3DS - sell it to kids.

Nothing Sony does will get It to sell like 3DS

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

Nintendo might be better served going back to Wii development. Console sales are relatively comparable and at least you have a massive user base. Low dev costs might encourage some third party support too.
