I am not criticizing his reasons more then addressing that he thinks my reasoning is non-existant. That it is impossible that PS4 is preferred by default by 360 centric gamers due to X1 pre-launch errors. Your last line is just wrong, and I could care less what you think. |
Well you cared enough to reply... so thanks ;)
I have 6 work colleagues. All were Xbox fans. They had both consoles. 1 is getting both day 1, 1 is getting a XBO day 1, guess which console the other four are getting day 1... that's right the PS4. These were not what you would call hardcore gamers, they were core... they buy some games and might end up with both consoles.
Most people are not loyalty bound, they will go where they feel they will get the best experiences. For some its 1st party games, others its performance, others its costs, others it's features, some is because of bad PR messaging. No one said that by default the 360 userbase will prefer PS4... he is saying that there are some good reasons to prefer the PS4. I don't think anyone in their right mind that a console that is considered more powerful and is $100 cheaper cannot be considered a strong argument for some people.
Some people will never like the PS4 or XbO because they are bound by blind loyalty to a product. But you would be surprised that many go where the best games are, for the best cost for the best power, and knowing what I do about the past 1st party games on the PS3, imho that is the PS4.. but Sony still need to prove that is going to be the case for PS4 or I will go to whoever is offering me those experiences (and the userbase will make that decision also).
