You know the same thing happened with 480p right? Its called progress. |
It didn't take 4 months for 480p to go from fantastic to unplayable.

I voted the second option. I think 720p will be sufficient for a good while longer. Resolution and pixel density are overrated. There's more to image clarity than pixel counting, and that's even more true when it comes to gaming.

It took less time...once people saw what an HD game looked like on a 360 or PS3 they never wanted to go back, I saw it happen with almost all my friends.

About 3 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is near the end of the end....
720p is fine if u sit far away from the screen or have small screen, 1080p just looks awesome on a bigger screen though

I guess Nintendo games are awful. Give back that near perfect score for Ocarina, Nints. You won't get it until you put a 1080p lipstick on it. |
Wii U has games @1080p
When Naughty Dog makes their first 1080p game, 720p is dead to me. DEAD!

Really depends on how big your screen size is and how far you sit away from the screen. 1080p is a must for me at this point considering I'm sitting about 7 feet from a 105 inch screen with an 1080p HD projector. 720p games for me = Jaggies, jaggies everywhere.

Games still look beautiful in 480p in my eyes, provided they're well-made.
I'm in no hurry to force games to shoot for 1080p or higher when most of them still have trouble maintaining a solid framerate in 720p.
