Doesn't add up at all! Hence the reason I will still be buying it and playing it! Can't wait! Especially to get in on that multiplayer!

That hilarious I was just telling my friend that a few days ago. That I wanted it on teh PSN store so I could take it with me and play it on my vita. Sony needs to get on that ASAP.

"...Here’s a handy metaphor for Killzone: Shadow Fall’s ending: Imagine finishing a meal in a restaurant, and then for dessert having the chef drop his pants and take a huge, steaming turd on your plate. I don’t care how good dinner was – and in this case, it wasn’t anything to call the Michelin Guide folks about – but when the very last thing you’re served is easily the worst part of the entire experience, it can’t help but leave a lingering bad taste."
OUCH! The Toronto Sun definitely doesn't like the ending.

Then.....*drumroll*.....buy it! Are any of you guys actually reading the reviews? They mostly praise the game! |
Yea they do, but I was expecting something ybersupermegasupersayankamehameha Killzone, like Killzone 2 was when it was released.
And hell, its PS4 most important launch game. This is supposed to be da next gen shit.
Take my love, take my land..
| CGI-Quality said: PixelVolt - 9.5/10 http://pixelvolt.com/2013/11/13/killzone-shadow-fall-review/ Key stuff: Killzone: Shadow Fall is the latest installment in a series known for being well-received, but not exactly as big as Sony has always wanted. This time around, Killzone manages to hit all the right notes, drive home the multiplayer component, and round it all out by showcasing the kind of visuals that the PS4 is capable of producing, making it the best of the franchise. With visuals showcasing the PS4′s capabilities so well, I was often mesmerized by the stunning aesthetics to a point that made it difficult to remember what I was doing. Shadow Fall is beautiful – the franchise’s grays and browns are replaced by gorgeous vistas, detailed cities, and dense forests. Particle effects are phenomenal, and the character models are generally realistic, even if non-pivotal characters are sometimes given a jarring lack of detail. With many games aiming to show off their respective console’s graphical capabilities, Shadow Fall stands out among the best examples. These extraordinary visuals don’t even take much of a hit in the game’s wonderful multiplayer component. 1080p/60fps – it’s an absolute blast wrapped up in an attractive package. Out is a traditional leveling system, in is challenge-based progression. Shadow Fall impresses with this unique spin, focusing on player skill and dexterity rather than a generic level-by-level ladder to climb. With basically every gun in each of the three classes unlocked from the get-go, players are free to simply get in and start killing with their preferred weapons and loadouts, reducing the fear of new players feeling ill-equipped. |
..who is pixelvolt?
It is not doing anywhere near what you guys expected. 70+ is respectable but it looks like it got overhyped.
In related news, Knack is tanking :( I still plan to buy it though.
EDIT: You know, for the people that aren't sure, just rent the damn game literally for a day or two. Try a few hours of the single player, try a few hours of multiplayer and than make the purchase. Maybe borrow it from a friend or something. Is it really that hard to physically try the game and ignoring the reviews for like 2 seconds?
I was wrong but I thought they would care more about 1080/great graphics p. Oh well the last KZ games were very boring for me =p.
| Aldro said: It ties in with what I said though. If whoever reviewed it at IGN feels the best Killzone is an 8, then clearly it is another guy who gave KZ2 and KZ3 a 95 or whatever. It shows how we really shouldnt compare metric systems to such great heights, especially on meta. And if it is the same person: Then he's just very inconsistent. |
This is the same company that gave MGS4 and GTA IV tens and used two different cars, colors and tracks in their next gen Need for Speed comparison. They also have been caught reviewing games on easy. LOL IGN has lost a lot of credibility. The only thing that keeps them going is the amount of news they attain compared to the competition.
