Forums - Gaming - In Hindsight, how much of a megaton is DESTINY on PS4?

I'm not going anywhere near this game tbh, don't need a game that is only online and will turn into a paper weight when they shut down the servers.

Don't see the huge deal. Unlike Titanfall which is an exclusive Destiny will be out on all platforms. We all knew once Bungie and MS split they would be making multiplatform games. Regardless if Destiny was a timed exclusive or not.

No one is talking about Destiny like they are Titanfall.

It's funny that the only person who thinks it's not a big deal, and is downplaying this.... is a guy with an Xbox Republic signature.

So predictable and blatant... its actually kind of sickening.

No one is talking about DESTINY like they are Titanfall? Ummm, DESTINY has more pre orders on PS4 than Titanfall has on XB1.

So did you think Bungie was going to split with Microsoft, but continue to make exlcusive content with Microsoft? Once they split everyone knew, regardless of the timed exlclsuive rumor, that they would be making multi platform games.

That is why this isn't anything big. We knew this was happening years ago.

Also 1 person said it was huge, but because it is their most wanted game to play. Not because Sony gets a Bungie game.

SMH

Up until February 21st, everyone thought Bungies next-gen game would be timed-exclusive for Xbox consoles.

You don't think the fact that it's day and date on PS4, along with exclusive marketing and DLC is a big deal???

No it isn't a big deal and it never has been. Face palm yourself and this ridiculous thread. We all knew Bungie was making multiplatform games. And again only one person in this thread has actually said it was a big deal and it is because they want to play the game. Not because of Sony getting a a game by them.

WRONG.

Many people (including popular web sites like Kotaku) thought that Bungies next gen game would be a timed exclusive for Xbox.

And more than 1 person has said its a big deal. Guess you missed that giant picture of the megaton explosion, and the first 2 replies to this thread.

...and even if people already knew Bungie was going multi platform, that doesn't make it any less of a megaton.

@MB1025 Here's a thread from 2012... Even your fellow Xbox Republic poster seemed to think Bungie's next game would be timed exclusive on Xbox... So stop acting like everyone knew it would be multiplat from the start.

lol quite a few people in there going on about how it will be an xbox brand.

If anything it looks like it will be a PS brand marketing wise

Yup. Funny how time changes. Just a few days before the PS4 reveal, people were saying Bungie/MS were trying to steal PS4's thunder. Then Bungie came out on stage at the PS4 event and shocked the gaming world.

DESTINY will be associated with the PlayStation brand. That is already 100% confirmed.

Sony has an exclusive long-term marketing deal for DESTINY, along with exclusive in-game content. Bungie said it at the PS4 reveal, and Sony confirmed it numerous times.

There's also a rumor that DESTINY will only be 1080p on PS4, so it will definitely be the "definitive" version.

What does any of that have to do with it being a big deal? Your all over the fucking place.

It is just another developer making a deal with a console maker.

Exclusive content, awesome, really looking forward to Destiny!

Also you keep saying timed exclusive and that means multiplatform. Again your all over the fucking place.
