i randomly met this guy from the office. he was out on the town and i just so happened to be at the same restaurante.  quite accomidating to fans i would say which is to be a compliment. seemed nice.

also, and much more importantly, i met this guy.  not random.  i am a friend of a girl whose father is his personal pilot.   he was soo nice and it was soo awesome to meet him.  there are very few celerities that will truely make me awe stroke but he was one of them.  <3

I'm jealous you met Brett, he was my sports idol growing up. Even though he's no match for Gabe from the office ;)

Around the Network

I met Britney Spears all the way back in 2000 in Frankfurt. But well, we changed like 3 sentences or something and that was it. That girl sure was in a hurry back then! But at least I got my Stronger Single signed! :P

Other than that, I once met Stefan Raab, but I don't think he's known very well outside of Germany.

David Seaman, ex-football player, best known for being Arsenal's and England's goalkeeper back in the 90's. (Yes, his last name is pronounced "semen", lol.)

I doubt many people here outside of the UK know of him, main reason I bring him up?

Remember the apologist theory of how people would point out how large their hands are to downplay or justify the design of a controller? Shake this guy's hand, and you'll feel like the biggest moron on the planet for ever trying to masquerade that argument. Coupled with that crazy ponytail and mustache he used to have, it was pretty much like meeting a reverse bigfoot.

Because of my jobs lots.

Madonna - Adele -Rhianna - Xtina Aguilera - Metallica - Oasis - Beckam's - Shirley Bassey - Mario e Luigi and many more

Switch!!!

Robin Williams, and by met I mean saw him walking on the street. Waved to him, and he waved back. Also: francesco totti, Cosmin Contra, Gheorge Hagi, Cristian Chivu, Tom Welling, Erica Durance, Amanda Crew, and David Gallagher.

I was walking down along the street and I heard this voice saying, "Good evening, Mr. Dowd." Well, I turned around and here was this big six-foot rabbit leaning up against a lamp-post. Well, I thought nothing of that because when you've lived in a town as long as I've lived in this one, you get used to the fact that everybody knows your name.

I met Sonic once, in front of a Sega building in Tokyo

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

I've met Santa Claus a buncha times, he usually hangs out at the mall near Christmas time.

Nice guy, he always remembers my name.

Youre lucky, he NEVER remembers me, he always asks me "what's your name son?", breaks my heart every time :(

Some famous and some not as much.

Mr. T - Met him in the locker room and pool of the health club at my wifes appartment in Chicago back in like 1990.
John Cusack - Met him outside the locker room of the same health club and again at "Little Jerusalem" which is a little Mediterranean restaurant in Chicago. Around the same time.
Ewan McGregor - Met him in New York City at a little park by the ferry to the Statue of Liberty. He had just finished the around the world motorcycle trip that he did with a friend that was a reality TV show. They had a celebration where we couldnt get close then a little while later our kids (3 boys) were playing in the park and I heard the motorcycle. Turned around and there he was. He let my kids take a picture with him. We are all huge Star Wars fans and my 3 year old (at the time) was wearing a Darth Vader shirt. Photo made it into Star Wars Fan Club magazine.
Charles "Peanut" Tillman - He is a cornerback for the Chicago Bears. We were in Vienna this summer and he came walking by and I could remember his name at first. Then a little while later we were out in a plaza and he walked by again. This time I introduced my self and the boys took a picture with him, he was great about us stopping him. Think he found it funny that he was recognized in Austria.
Norm Van Lier - Played guard for the Chicago Bulls. Met him at a Starbucks.
Bill Russell - Hall of fame center for the Boston Celtics. Met him on a flight. Real nice guy.
Steve Ballmer - At a developer event he was supposed to introduce me.  He forgot and someone else at MS had to do it because Steve rambled on and forgot what he was up there for.  Was back at the .NET 1.0 launch event.

Couple near misses. Robin Williams I was in Marin Country CA just north of San Francisco interviewing out of college. Stopped for dinner and the waitress told us we just missed him we sat at the table he had. Bruce Springsteen.  We were in Florida Keys and he left the restaurant as we entered.

I think that is it.
