Forums - Sony - Kotaku: Mark Cerny Explains How Mandatory Game Installations Will Work On PS4

so another Sony lie. Didn't they say back at E3 that mandatory installation wasn't implemented on the PS4?

Great contribution to the discussion there! SMH

This is great news. No more waiting for installs, the consoles caches the data and that's that :D

Well this kinda sucks. But as long as you can delete it and it doesn't take a lot to install it's not something to worry about I guess.

Hate? why would i hate Sony? they haven't done anything to me, really. But I do remember what they said back at E3. So, another lie. The same as the cloud and the promised backward compatibility thorugh the cloud. I don't see them anywhere.

Not sure why you sound so angry....

Let me give you a clue... no one cares that it installs data to the HD - well except you for some unknown reason. :)

Also backwards compatibilty... just use the current console.. gaikai will probably be able to do it for Ps1/Ps2 but it will be a service that is paid for, i.e PS+ imho. Not sure what the issue is.. new hardware, new internals, want to run old games, run the old hardware.

So in the end, Nintendo's 32GB size isn't all that bad considering MSony will fill your 500GBs with EVERY damn game you buy regardless if its digital or disc based.

F that. At least Wii U disc based games are actually disc based games.

Basically, in a year the DRM policies everyone cried foul over will be implemented on MSony consoles and ya'll will be f'ed.

Which lie?

Because since February they said the game will be installed/cached on HDD... it is automatic.

So this will fill up faster than my WiiUs 32GB internal storage? Wow!

Yeap.

I was thinking to go with SDD if the cache free space management was auto but now I'm thinking in a SHDD or 7200RPM with 1GB+.

The 32GB is a joke. If you get Lego City Undercover digitally, for example, you can barely install any other Wii U game... -__-

But that's you being your typical self... You gotta talk shit about something to feel validated in your choice... ¬_¬
