If you play this game co-op, player 2 will appear in cutscenes, even though he technically doesn't exist (i.e. you are playing the game as 1 person, and that's referenced). This is one of the highest rated games of all time, but the remake scored only good.

It's certainly tough. I had to purchase the games from Amazon (actually not too terrible in price) and the initial game was fortunately on XBLA, so that was an easy pickup.

But I'm actually pretty excited for the newest installment. I'll get it for PC (played the first on my brother's now broken X360 ).

#49: Code of Princess

System: 3DS Release: October 2012

I enjoyed this title greatly. It's a pretty solid beat'em up and the story is fairly comically enjoyable. The cast is pretty enjoyable and I liked that there was the ability to play as pretty much every character in the game. The multiplayer is fun when you could get a match but the online was too dead from the start. Unfortunately, it has some frame rate issues when too many things are on the screen which hurts the experience in the harder difficulties. Also, Lady Zozo for life.

#48: Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles

System: Gamecube Release: February,2004

This title had fantastic multiplayer. I enjoyed it greatly when I played it with my cousins and brother, almost 10 years ago. The action-rpg elements with class specifcation were some fun balance. I enjoyed to play as the Selkie race. While they were the most attractive race, their play style was pretty different from the other classes. The charge shot was a ranged attack while the basic attack was a physical. It was fairly useful in handling enemies. The map screen on the gba's was a novel idea now seen on the Wii U. The coolest part was that each map was different so it encouraged communication. The dungeon system was also good. In that they reset after an ingame year or so so you have to choose the dungeons and not just grind on the same one over and over. The traveling characters were interesting and made the world feel alive.

I can say that the game has never had any other entry. The main characters has been in other games though...

Player 2 doesn't appear in cutscenes in that game. Good guess though, but nope. You're on the right track though.

This has to be Super Mario RPG (Please tell me I've got this one at least!)
Edit: I just saw Square Enix but Super Mario RPG was back in the Squaresoft days.
