The one controller i saw was covered in dust/sweat... I think if you are playing for many hours and are sweating all over it and digging in your nails.. yeah i can see why that would be a problem.

Of course it would be better if they used more solid material, as i remember some of the early Xbox Controllers having a similar problem (where you could pick off the rubber off the stick.

It wouldn't surprise me. Sony has been manufacturing lower quality stuff since a few years now. Even for their gaming division. The last PS3 slim down is awful. Now the DS4...

Good point. I would be surprised it would only endure a couple of weeks of extensive usage. Sony would know it will come out soon and backclash will be big. 

That would suck if true, if those aren't isolated, there's hoping Sony will adress the problem and the next batches will have a different kind of rubber. Also wtf is wrong with that guy who did the last picture, it looks like it's cut with nails or something :D

The sticks wearing down after two weeks of use is a major issue.

According to the thread on Neogaf, some of those issues were from people "Stress testing" the controllers... not sure what that actually means.

Well yeah thats what I thought it meant, its not really a fair test if thats what they are doing to it.

I went up onto the empire state building and dropped a controller from... man its poorly built it broke... /joke.

So it would be nice to see if the controller lasts in normal use. I have had quite a few controllers on the PS3 (own more than 1 Ps3)... and the kids have pretty much put them through the paces, if its anywhere near DS3, then it will be fine for me.

Looking at this, it look like the controller was cheaplymade. Hope to see some improvements in the next batch of ship DS4 controller.
