Exactly what I thought. US will be xbox land and Europe PS land, same as always. Japan will hardly matter to either but xbox products sell next to nothing over there.

Overall, I don't expect a massive lead and win for anyone in the 8th gen, I do think that there will quite a gap between 2nd and 3rd place though, a whole lot bigger than the one in the 7th.

Indeed, just like the sentence that they might be able to sway last minute shoppers with bundles. I think the only thing last minute shoppers will see this hioliday is out of stock signs. The one winning this holiday is who can ship the most consoles.
So sure, if MS can allocate more boxes to the US then initial pre-order demand and the ps4 is already sold out, maybe, slight possibility that some desperate shoppers change their mind and fork out an extra $100 then they were planning to.

Holiday 2014 is where the real battle for the US will be fought.

PS4 will win the launch periods because playstation brand is bigger then xbox,the fact ps4 is less expensive then xboxone and i don't think casual gamers will buy a xboxone just for kinect 2 i think casual are satisfied by kinect 1 in their xbox 360 and will not see a reason to buy a xbox one with kinect 2.



PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

yes it better outsell PS4 or else M$ will be so regret making XB1 as a multimedia family entertainment system instead of focus more as a video game console...
