It doesn't come as a surprise to me, though. The demo at E3 looked far too "on rails" and heavy on QTEs for my taste. There are some good looking X1 launch titles, for sure, but Ryse isn't one of them, at least to me.

Similar impression when I played it... the gameplay animations killed all the hype.

like expected, e3 was too late to change for what the game got criticized. they should have delayed it to march or so...

That's the issue... the gameplay is noway close to "I want to slice and dice through mindless enemy after mindless enemy"... you can't compare it with these games you listed.

I think it looks alright, though there is something off about it... Is there is a reason why there is so little blood when he chops off limbs? There was a lot more in the Walking Dead when I was watching earlier

I think the blind loyalness of the microsoft fanbase is gonna be put to test at launch, with the inferior ports, and now one of the flagship exclusives sounds like a 6/10.

Unless the reviewers changed... it will receive a lot of 7/10 but you know in the actual reviewer system less than 8.5 is terrible

Well...It's made by Crytech. They're good with visuals and not much with gameplay.
