I wonder if this has something to do with its Kinect origins?

It doesn't come as a surprise to me, though. The demo at E3 looked far too "on rails" and heavy on QTEs for my taste. There are some good looking X1 launch titles, for sure, but Ryse isn't one of them, at least to me.
