Now imagine if Nintendo didn't go full retard with its marketing, it could have been 1 million units for the Wii U. I still bump into people that think the Wii U is just a screen for the Wii.

While i understand your logic and agree that home consoles and hanhelds should generally be kept as two seperate groups, Sony should still feel embarssed by the Vita's sales. They're aweful :P

You know what is embarrassing for Sony.   Sony sold 296,146 Vitas in the USA from Jan 1, 2013-Oct 26, 2013.  In the same time frame, Nintendo sold 502,528 DS systems (a system that is as dead or more than the Wii) in the USA.  Spin that... Does that mean shame on Sony?!?

LOL figures you say something like this. I would expect handhelds to sell more than home consoles, you trying to push vita away just shows your true colors. Vita cant barely do even half which is by far more embarrassing so yeahhh...

Vita is not a handheld. It is a hybrid console and handheld thus you can't compare it with anything. It is unique, a never seen before in history of gaming.

Vita is fine, it is just beginning. It will be living a long life while the entire current gen lies in their resting grave (3DS, Wii U, PS3, 360, Wii). it will outlive more stuff than you think (dat 10 year plan).

BTW grats to Vita on making it to 6 million on front page. :)

...and an early congrats to 3DS for making 36 million come the next weekly hardware update :)

Handhelds have historically sold more than homeconsoles (GB, GBA, DS all sold more units than every other Nintendo homeconsole for example...aside from the Wii, and the PSP is sitting at 80 million units)

The Vita and WiiU are flops of equal proportions.

If there is one thing embarassing in this thread, it would be your bias.
