I'm very sad how Xenoblade, Starfox, Metroid and Fire Emblem aren't multi-million selling IP's.

They all have the potential to do so. Metroid Prime proved that for Metroid, Fire Emblem Awakening proved that for FE, Starfox has always had potential, and Xenoblade had insane potential.

Nintendo news of 04/11/2014: WARNING: The following aricles may overhype us Nintendo fans. If you suffer of any heart problems, please do consider to lower your expectations.

• Global weekly charts, week ending Oct 18th (yeah, VGC is a little behind): The 3DS sold 218k units (a drop of 39%) after the second week on sale for the N3DS in Japan, and sold 895k games (a drop of 59%). It's best selling games were MH4G with 305k units, followed closely by SSB3DS with 224k units sold, and YW2 with 44k units sold. Lower in the charts we see: Tomodachi Life, Pokemon XY, MK7, AC:NL, and Fantasy Life. The Wii U sold 46k units (an increase of 12%), and 220k games were sold (an increase of 6%). It's best selling games were Mario Kart 8, Hyrule Warriors, Skylanders: TT, and Disney Infinity 2.0.
• A new Nintendo direct, focused on Wii U and 3DS games between now and Spring 2015, is coming tomorrow!
• Amiibos from Kirby to Metroid are functional with Mario Kart 8! So are we getting Super Kart Bros. 8? Not in the way you think. They are more like re-skinned Miis, actually!
• Europe and Australia are getting Cross-Discounts on Shovel Knight... GODDAMMIT NINTENDO! JUST MAKE CROSSBUY A THING ALREADY!!!
• Here's an analysis on Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystals... You know? Recent Sonic games seem to always have long titles. That bothers me.
• So Luigi's Mansion arcades are being released on summer 2015. I doubt it's coming to the West, but I didn't see anything about that.

Cross Buy is a thing in Europe. Not every dev thinks they will get the same amount of profit offering both versions for the price of one
