Nintendo news of 02/10/2014: Congrats Europe, you can now SETTLE IT IN SMASH (3DS)!!!

  • Global Weekly numbers, week ending 20th September: The 3DS went on to sell 98k units of hardware (a fell of 4%), and 669k units of software (a fell of 48%, Smash released in Japan week before). It's best selling game, and #2 overall, was Smash Bros. with 321k units only in Japan. Next is Yokai Watch 2 with 58k units, Curtain Call with 46k,  TL with 28k, and Pokemon XY 22k. Lower we see Dragon Quest X, MK7, AC:NL, NSMB2, Yoshi's New Island, and others. The Wii U sold 45k units (an increase of 15%) of hardware, and 229k units of software (an increase of 103%. 2 new releases). It's best selling game was Hyrule Warriors, which released in Europe, and sold 87k units overall. Followed by Bayonetta 2, which released in Japan, with 37k units, and Mario Kart 8 with 26k units. Then we find Disney Infinity 2.0, 3D World and NSMBU.
  • Super Smash Bros. 3DS is now the 31st 3DS game to reach 1 million units! 
  • Mario Kart 8 toys are now available in Australian McDonalds! (This ones for you, Ktay )
  • Mega Rayquaza has been revealed!
  • Some details about FAST Racing Neo.
  • If you plan to get Smash and play it right away, make sure you have the patch downladed already.
  • Smash might come tomorrow/later this evening in USA... But that ain't stopping all this people! Also, huge FW numbers incoming?

I was right

uk was 15k(so +2k)

germany was 22k(I said 20k plus :)

and france was a little bit under 20k but close :)

and it was over a 70k opening

30 mins till Smash. Doubt I'll be able to get my download started though, I anticipate an eShop meltdown when it finally goes live.
