Quick question: on mario kart 8 both players can earn point in the online modus. But player 2's points always reset everytime we quit and restart the game. Is this normal? (player 2 always uses the same mii character..)

Nintendo news of 03/07/2014: Sorry for my slacking yesterday! Also, I didn't make my analysis of the weekly sales, weird.

• Global weekly sales were in 3 days ago! The 3DS was the top selling console with 99k units (only fell 4% from last week), and also sold 431k units of software (also a fell of 4%). It's top selling titles were Tomodachi Life with 53k units, followed by Pokemon X/Y with 42k units, then Pokemon Art Academy which released in Japan with 31k units, Yokai Watch with 29k units, Kirby Triple Deluxe with 21k units (and might reach 1 million LTD in 5 weeks), AC:NL with 17k, and MK7 with 16k. Then there are games like Persona Q, NSMB2, 3D Land, and Yoshi's New Island. 
• The Wii U sold 53k units (a fell of 22%), and sold 287k units of software (huh... also a fell of 22%). The best selling titles was Mario Kart 8 with 143k units, followed by NSMBU, Nintendo Land, Wind Waker HD, NSLU, 3D World, Tropical Freeze, and Wii Party U.
• Guacamelee launch trailer!
• Yoshi's Woolly World footage.
• Miyamoto talks about Zelda U's world, and ideas for the 3DS.
• What will save Wii U? Maybe Amiibo...

Those are some eerily convienent fell drops for hardware to software ratio... xD

First Miyamoto says they have ideas for both Star Fox & Metroid on Wii U, and now he says they have "ideas" for 3DS.

But that 3DS statement could be anything, or another new Zelda game. The 3DS can do a lot of open world with polygon graphics and vehicles traveling at 100 mph.

• Yes! There's a cheat code in Shovel Knight called "butt mode", but there are more than just that! In fact, there are over 300 cheat codes!!!
• A bunch of new stuff just was announced for Hyrule Warriors, and Agatha's trailer was released!
• Mario Kart 8 happy meal now available at McDonald's + a new commercial!
• Next Level Games recently had an interview.

Hyrule Warriors seems to be shaping up nicely. I'm not a big fan of Dynasty Warriors gameplay though, so I'm still pretty unsure that I'd enjoy it.

I do hope it does well though, I think these 3rd party collaborations are an interesting idea and hope Nintendo continues them.
