I give it a 1 but that's just because I didn't watch it, if I did it probably be a 3

Has anyone downloaded the Steel Diver game? want to hear some opinions before downloading it myself.

Also Inazuma is kinda expensive imo...I mean it looks fun but I don't see myself paying $20 for the game.

its kinda cool. its very slow. you might encounter speed up rings once in a while but its generally slow, kinda like War thunder F2P PC game

its good enough because its FREE!!!!
i would even pay 10$ for it to play MP with cool ships and gear

ooh, just saw the Yoshi 3DS XL

WHY IS IT SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO UGLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I actually think it looks rather cool. Er...maybe because I love the color green.

I'll give the direct a 4.

i give it a 7
nothing new is always bad, still pretty good event overall, its not Nintendos fault people overhyped it

Nobody mentioning GBA VC coming to WiiU??? Thats amazing. the titles annopunced were top notch

(Keep in mind, this is for the American Direct.)

+ Little Mac reveal, new Smash Bros footage, game looks outstanding, need it now.
+ Mario Golf looks alright, and we got a release date, which is worth something.
+ More in-depth look at Kirby, which also got a release date... and it's the same day as Mario Golf? Weird, but not bad.

– Yoshi doesn't look so hot and we already knew its release date. I never want to see this game again.
- Steel Diver? What is this, amateur hour? Bonus points, however, for the "it's available right now" surprise.
- Rusty's Real Deal Baseball... meh. You didn't need to spend three minutes of my time on this.
- Pokemon Battle Trozei looks like Puzzle & Dragons Lite, and I'd rather just see Puzzle & Dragons Z.

+ Didn't need to spend that much time on Layton, but it's Layton, so I'll let it slide.
+ Acknowledging MH4U but reminding me that I have to wait another year to play it, they barely scrape by with a + for this one.
+ Weapon Shop de Omasse looks like some fun, and we get a date. Bout time we got that last Guild 01 game.
+ Inazuma Eleven looks insane and I love that. They break even on the "available right now" tactic this time.
+ Hilighting a few indies without spending too much time on them, good balance. Bonus points for both Jools and Shovel Knight.
+ Child of Light, whatever. Kind of had to spend some time on potentially the last remaining third-party publisher on Wii U.
+ New Donkey Kong Trailer, that game looks dope as hell and I don't mind seeing it again. Bonus points for dat music.

- I feel that announcing NES Remix 2 so long (over two months) before its release was a mistake. That's the only reason this leans negative.

+ Finally remembering that they promised GBA games on Wii U VC. We got a month and three games, all good choices.
+ Mario Kart 8 looks outstanding, seven new characters announced, and we got a release date. You can't beat that.
+ X gameplay and why don't I have this game right now. Penalty for not reaffirming the 2014 release window, and for the lack of real title.
+ Bayonetta 2, I dunno what else to say about it. Next time, please give us a more specific window than "2014."

Miscellaneous:

- No Reggie
- No Bill
+ No time wasted on "service" announcements regarding firmware or Miiverse updates. Just the games, as it should be.

Verdict:

I don't know what people are complaining about. That was everything I wanted it to be. Look through my "minuses" again: the worst parts of the Direct were the new game announcements. And they were mostly only bad because of how they were presented. If they had only spent a minute to 90 seconds (apiece) on Steel Diver and Real Deal, if NES Remix 2 was coming out sooner, they'd have been slim positives. That is insane. There was hardly anything to complain about in this Direct, and loads to be excited for. I enjoyed it tremendously. What's more, I was Skyping with my friends the whole time, and even the ones who were bored to tears by everything from Mario Golf through Layton were hyped enough for the rest of it to make up for that.

To judge this on the same scale as an E3 presentation would be ludicrous. At E3, I expect exciting new game announcements. At Nintendo Direct, I expect exciting new details and footage of previously announced games and some small new announcements, and that's exactly what I got. I give it a 9/10 based on how well my own expectations were addressed.

I give this Direct 7/10, maybe 7.5/10. I enjoyed all the new footage for Smash Bros, Mario Kart 8, X and Bayonetta 2, but there was too much focus on the eShop and also no new Wii U games. Could have been better....

I give it a 7/10.

I liked DKC, MK8, Bayo 2. X and Smash were meh.

Good question, this coming from someone who owns the (beautiful) Fire Emblem XL.
