NPD (no link because Nintendo hasn't made their full response. Might update later): Top 10 software of December 2013 has no Nintendo software. The 3DS was the best selling consoe with > 908k at least. Xbone was the best selling home console (huh?) with 908k sold. Wii U had it's best month so far in the US, which translates to somewhere around 450k <.

That`s data from Nintendo France, relevant to France only.
Regarding the "curved" sentence, i think it fits both France and worldwide.

178K is not good, but at least it`s 50K above what VGC has for the same time period.

I'm pretty lazy atm, so I'll just say Pokemon X/Y for 3DS GotY, and Pikmin 3 for Wii U GotY. Yeah I don't actually have a Wii U, but I did play both games at them hands on events so there you go.
