What is the difference between this and the Super Mario World game? Is it worth buying? I really do not want to play Super Mario world for the half dozeneth time.

You can never get tired of SMW. Advanced 2 basically lets you get above 99 lives, lets you get colored yoshi's anywhere(after you unlock), has worse graphics and worse sound.

An Amiibo is a little bit like a toy you'd use for Skylanders or Disney Infinity, apart from they're all Nintendo characters. You scan them in using the GamePad, and each game using them differently. So for Smash, for example, an Amiibo is a fighter who can be customised and levelled up, getting stronger in the process. In Mario Kart, certain Amiibos can be used to get costumes for your Miis, and in Hyrule Warriors they can be used to get Rupees and Items.

They're so big right now because they're Nintendo characters, and people like to have that edge in Smash Bros. More importantly it seems like the run of fighters will be incredibly limited in some cases, thus artificially inflating demand.

And no, I don't have any.

There's no new confirmation, it's just that all they are offering is the regular 3DS and not the Xl edition.
