All my friends (that smoke) are stocking up and buying in bulk now. No joke. Tax on tobacco is already really high in NYC. Smoking is an expensive habit here.

I believe cigarettes should be outlawed, but that's just my belief. People have a right to autonomy, but slowly killing yourself over something like cigarettes is crazy. The real question is, why do people smoke cigarettes? People say they smoke for a wide variety of reasons. Truth is there is only one reason, it's addicting. People get hooked on the nicotine, which isn't necessarily bad for you, but all the other harmful chemicals can kill you. Let me look up some numbers.

Each year smoking kills an estimated 443,000 people.
8.6 million people live with a serious illness caused by smoking.

I do admit, I am a bit prejudice. Maybe cuz I'm an RN.

Like i stated i dont smoke,but am i harmed by other people that smoke ...yes i am. The world would be healthier without cigarettes there is no good coming from them just an illusion of a probable escapism or temporary relaxation,i dont want cigarettes and neither should anyone on this planet therefore ban the damn thing.

How we ban them that is debatable but as long as there is no violence its ok for me .

Although I agree that smoking is stupid and no one should do it, let's be honest here people who want to smoke are going to smoke regardless of any sort of law saying otherwise. Whether that person be 18, 21, or heck even 15.

An arugment against cigarettes is that not only does it hurt the smoker but second hand smoke has been linked to thousands  of deaths and respiratory illnesses for non-smokers.

I hate walking through my campus and seeing smokers just right in the middle puffing away right in the walkways. I have asthma, so whenever I see them, I hold my breath and walk through it. Plus the smell...

I don't care if people smoke, just the people that do it while I'm around should go to h.. another place

For everyone here hoping for banning I hope something you enjoy doing gets banned. The shit doesnt hurt anyone but the user and doesnt stink up the public unless you are

It'll be funny if say in the next 10 years or so weed is completely legal but if your caught with a pack of smokes you'll be spending a good deal of your life at the gray bar hotel.

People who like sucking on a fag deserve what they get.
