it is. thats pretty much the point, create a CG movie with a very low budget, they are actually using in game assets. 

 Because Ellie's the lead female role UHDUUUHH!!! But I guess you got a point. There could be some awesome F on F moments. ;)

Who cares about the CGI I thought it looked good, People care way to much about graphics it, god forbid you play guys play anything before 7th gen.

By the sounds of things this is a relatively low budget production, hence why Sony went with it.

I think the idea is that Sony want to restablish the franchise before they commit to financing a sequel. Or maybe they already have plans for a sequel in the pipeline. The story of this movie is a repeat of the story from the game apparently with some changes.

Personally I think it looks interesting. I would like to see a sequel on the PS4 sometime so if this leads to that, then great. The other thing is that in terms of melee action games Sony have been relying primariy on the God of War franchise, which seems to have peaked now. So from their point of view I suppose it makes sense to restablish a franchise that had potential in that area of gameplay, while still being completely different to God of War.

i thought it looked like a bad movie. honestly, at first thought i was like "ok, shitty CGI, but maybe the trailer would be good" but it didnt. if people say the movie is good when it comes out ill watch it, regardless of how bad the CGI is. 

Looks even worse then those Resident Evil CGI movies..

There's a difference between a video game and a movie guys.

I'm far less likely to be tolerant of bad visuals in an animated movie than in a video game because at least the video game can have interesting interaction. I find crap CGI in movies to be very distracting.

I thought the general opinion was that the final boss battle suked. I know I couldn't be bothered with it since the boss seemed invincible. Then I went to youtube to see the ending and realized many other ppl did the same as me.

Wtf is this shit.The game itself looks better (2007 game) and I think most of us who have played the game would just be thinking "I wish I had Dualshock on my hand"..You simply cannot make game based movie that looks like a game, without you actually playing at all.
