MS desperate ?

you mad?

Since when is securing exclusive content desperate?

It's always desperate. It shows you don't want your competition to have the game. It doesn't matter which brand does it.

yah right... So all companies out there are desperate? Seriously you need to look up at the definition...
It is just good business practices. And even if Sony does that quite often I never recall you saying they are "desperate" in anyway...

Call of duty needed a couple of years to become one of the best selling franchises but that was accomplish with awareness and improved install base, heck even COD 4 never did the same numbers latest COD did and it was considered the best COD so far. So it's a shame that this game had to be kept as an xbox and PC platform, it have the potential to become the next COD but with limited audience, it won't accomplish it.

Titanfall can do EXACTLY what CoD did this gen.

CoD2 was PC and 360 only. CoD3 came to both consoles and did ok. What made CoD take off was an incredible game hitting at just the right time. Titanfall 2 could easily hit both consoles in early 2016 or even late 2015 and make the franchise take off.

Why not both? MS seems to have been able to both secure this incredible game, and make some great looking Xbone games on their own.

Also, would I take one sure fire incredible game, or chance 2 that might not be as good? What's the old saying, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush? Applies perfectly.

So without MS money, Titanfall would not be as good? Not sure I get that thinking. A game would be as good as a developer can make it regardless of money.

Osc89 is right, 2 games is always better than 1 exclusive, no matter how you want to swing it. Although, I'm sure those buying will enjoy it regardless, well, depends on how good it actually is.

Nowhere did I say anything about Titanfall not being as good without MS money (though, you could certainly make the case for it not being as good without Azure). His post said MS could have taken this money and instead made 2 other games. My reply is that they are both securing titles and making their own games.

Also, no, 2 exclusives are not always better than 1. Unless you're playing list warz on the Internets. I'm speaking from a consumer point of view. I want good games. I know Titanfall is going to be good. I don't know if Random Xbone Exclusive 1 or Random Xbone Exclusive 2 are going to be good. Odds are extremely high that no, they won't equal Titanfall.

And luckily for Xbone fans, MS is providing them with both Exclusive 1 and 2, plus others, and Titanfall. A win/win, unless you're only playing on PS4 and wanna play Titanfall. In which case you might go buy an Xbone. Companies make these business moves all the time for good reason.

Sorry, thought we were talking about Titanfall and then you said "would I take 1 sure fire incredible game, or a change of 2 that might no be as good?", stands to reason I'd think you were talking about MS money somehow improving Titanfall. Titanfall was going to come out regardless wasn't it? His post said nothing of the sorts, his post said take that money and make a game (not 2) and then they'll have Titanfall which would be released anyway and another game exclusive to the One and/or 360.

This isn't about 2 exclusives, it's about not wasting money securing an exclusive from a third party, which would happily put their game on as many platforms as they can and with that saved money, make your own game. 2 games, one multiplatform made by EA, one for Xbox only. While the money used to help EA release the game only on MS formats might be a lot, it surely is not enough to warrant enough to also produce 2 extra games. It just has to outweigh the profit EA can make from release it on PS3 and PS4 as well... actually that could be a lot (if it is a Call of Duty beater).

But this is all guesswork isn't it? It might have been a case that Respawn never intended it to go onto PS3/PS4, but with EA involvement, that seems unlikely.

Hmm, pie.

At the moment it is VERY good to be an XBox fan: Halo Spartan assault to be released for XBox, Titanfall a lifetime exclusive and all the other exclusives getting massive attention for their high quality. Also, PS fans should spend less time guessing over this thread and more time saluting their exclusive fps in Killzone. That is one awesome-looking game! :)

yep

1080p 60fps will be so good

:)

So it´s not more important that the gameplay holds up?

WTF does that even means?

Dude just wait for reviews

until today there is no one real gameplay of titanfall

just scripted BS showed at E3

if u thing MMO plays like that

going around the map killing everyone without being killed!

Lol you keep replying to everybody "what does it mean?"... Really, you do not get it?

In every post you are coming with your stupid 1080p thing... Like it is the most important thing in the world (and yet you want to play on a console instead of PC... doooh....) and after that you are mad when people are telling you that you seem to care more about 1080p than gameplay... Looking at all your post lately, this is a pretty fair assumption...

Then that : "scripted BS" and even talking about MMO... Lol you are really mad at this, aren't you?
Chill out now and stop pretending you care about anything else but bashing everything that is closely related to Microsoft :)

and yet u didnt answer me.

im not bashing anything

u guys r so desesperate for good news that keep attacking the playstation fans

im only single player gamer i dont give a fuck about mp only games and never did

Exclusives are a good thing. Without them, a console lacks identity. In an imaginary future, where exclusives cease to exist, we might as well have a single console brand to play each and every game. There goes competition and with it, steady evolution.

Exclusives are good. With the new situation of third party devs going majorly multiplat it definitely helps. The problem with this is paying publishers and developers to keep games away from another brand is another story. If MS was funding the game ok maybe, but they aren't. This is EA and Respawn's baby. I believe Respawn owns the rights though.

I believe it will eventually come to the PS brand as well, even with an altered game. That is neither good or bad in my opinion. Rather, it is both: good for PS owners, them having the opportunity to play an apparently great game. Bad for the long term evolution of gaming. At this pace, there soon will be no reason for 2 consoles in the market. I insist that this will not be to anyones interest.

Then again, the future depends on many factors and perhaps we all get to enjoy the game (and every game) and keep the industry alive and thriving with competition.

Yep, Titanfall exclusive :) Now this thread is awesome, watching all the PS fans going either :

- Double standard (I can remimber a lot of them saying the game is awesome and will be on Ps4 anyway, now it is "ok" and was "not" expected or needed, LAWL)
- Starting to talk about how Microsoft is evil and Sony is not (like Sony is not paying for such deals...).
- Or again talking about their precious resolution as it was the only thing who really matter (then, I wonder why they are even going for a console and not a PC if it is really the only thing that matters...)

Keep going guys, you are doing well so far...

What have you added to this thread? And I mean anything worthwhile.

I did not bring anything more than all of those I'm talking about, including you obviously.

Instead of replying to me just look at the 20 pages before and respond to each of them one by one with that kind of stupid reply... I wonder why you sticked on my post... Oh wait, looking at your history... ahhhhhh I see now, make perfect sense :)

The facts are the facts and all I said is true, deal with it, sorry if it hurts your feeling !

I started reading the thread backwards and yours was the first worthless post I got to. Realised what kind of thread it was so I stopped going any further. Next time you say you looked at my history, you may wanna actually look at it.

I'll admit it was a desperate by Sony to pay Rockstar to keep GTA away from MS and I was majorly playing PS2 over Xbox last gen. MS has done it numerous times though and this wouldn't be the first. Sony is no better for following MS in the cheap DLC purchasing scheme.

Dissagree, people started looking at the online gameplay COD offer when it was a multiplatform game starting with COD 4.  If I'm not mistaken, COD 3 were a single player only game cause the online component was crap, so tecnically nobody care about the franchise until COD 4.  Titanfall is a new brand online game right out of the gate, so in order to attract those COD players and sells COD numbers, it needs every install base it can get.  The same that happen with Battlefield 3, even if it's the 3 installment, for a lot of ps3 owners was the first battlefield but thanks to the awareness of a huge online game, it sells huge on ps3.
