"Just not the first Titanfall."

PS4 owners just need to wait for the second. It's not like Titanfall is a single player experience. They've already said it was going to be multiplayer experience with single player being there just as a tutorial story.

Ive seen this as well. Personally some of the Indie stuff is surprisingly what is swaying me to jump into next gen Early. Infamous may be my most wanted but Transistor, Child of Light, Resogun, etc are really whats winning me.

Yep...It's refreshing to see those kinds of games getting some attention .

?? are you suggesting the number of countries has something to do with the number of consoles being produced??  that doesn't make any sense.  You don't ship a fixed variable of a console to each country.  The amount of countries the system is available in has abosutely nothing to do with supply.

The reason microsoft is launching in fewer countries has to do with xbox live and kinect speech support, has nothing to do with production supply.  The countries the x1 is launching in will actually get bigger shipments than the ps4 initially if they are matched in production ability, of course, almost all of the launch supply of both consoles will be coming to north america...

Im suggesting that at this time for every XBO being shipped there is 2-3 PS4's being shipped. If both were to sell out (which they will) that still leaves it at XBO=1 and PS4=2-3. We already know the Preorders are skewed this way with most places offering twice as many preorders for PS4 than XBO. My store personally has 40+ preorders on PS4 while 12XBO preorders and this is pretty much a company wide thing. We have been told to expect similar shipments of both after launch. If Demand is at maximum for the holidays with them constantly selling out, how can XBO possibly be "just about even" with PS4?

well, that is a much better argument that the number companies times a fixed variable  Not sure why you even went that route...  Anyway, if what you say holds than obviously the ps4 will sell more.  It is one of those have to wait and see kind of things though...  You would think that these professional analysts would have more information on production abilities then you are me, but I guess they could be wrong...

It depends on where the analysts is geared for. They are most often just Yes men who tell the comapanies they work for what they want to hear. I did read some analyst report that he expected XBO to outsell PS4 this holiday season. Why? because XBO became higher on Amazon's top seller listings. What he omitted was that there are multiple PS4 skus flooding the top listings so if you add them up they would assuredly decimate XBO numbers without question.

Being able to read between the lines(AKA bullshit) helps.

The problem with using sales rankings instead of sales numbers is, you have no idea the differnce in sales are between ranks. As well as they vary alot.

Hypothetical example:

#1 = 100,000

#2 = 25,000

#3 = 10,000

PS4 gamers just went from "it's coming to PS4, it's inevitable" to "I don't want it, it looks last gen". Truely entertaining

Pfft, you've got it totally wrong.

We're going to play it on PC instead.

I think the real hypocricy is that Titanfall is somehow validated as a bonafide XBO exclusive when it appears on both 360 and PC. Meanwhile any game that is not fully exclusive to PS4 doesn't count or doesn't even exist in some eyes. Planetside 2 is also a FPS multiplayer only MMO style game, but is also vailable for PC........so it gets dismissed.

And the usual response, "I'll just play it on PC".

Sure you will >_>.............

Just like all the games before it, most will get these games on Consoles, because they are console gamers, mostly exclusive to them as well. I personally don't care what is available for PC ever because regardless I don't like PC gaming style. They might as well be exclusive to the consoles they are on.

XBL has alot of indies, as well as psn. The diffrence is sony was making a huge deal about it, that how the indystation 4 name came about. Still not hypocracy

As far as Planetside 2, don't mistake not caring with double standards. PC's arn't consoles, and if a game coming out on two different MS consoles means it's not exclusive.... ohwell:)

Maybe so. My post is mostly directed at those who try to under value PS4's Launch window lineup because some of its bigger titles are F2P/ MMOs that are only partially exclusive  when thats pretty much what Titanfall is. I spotted a few  some pages back.

I'm not up to date on ps4 f2p games, but haven't alot of them been out on pc for awhile? If that's true, that's probably the real gripe is about ps4's lineup. Correct me if I'm wrong.....

BTW i am an xbox gamer, but first and for most I despise fanboys of all stripes:).

Out first on PC yes, but for a long time? Not really. Warframe is still in beta on PC, but will launch when out on PS4. Planetside 2 came out holiday 2012. Dust 514 in beta. Blacklight Retribution came out mid 2012. DC Universe is kind of old, seeing as it came in 2011.

Nevertheless, its not like everyone has played these on PC, so when it debuted on it doesn't really matter. This will be most console gamer's first experience with them and they can only experience them on PS4 if they are going next gen.

Eh.. It didn't interest me. I could be surprised though, it looks as though it has potential.

I'm just waiting for a Left For Dead 3 announcement. I really don't want to buy a xbone for one game... but I will.

LEft 4 dead my favorite series. If it were a ps4 only game...... that would make me a proud owner of both next consoles:).

I'm in the Sony camp, but PS4 having nothing but indies is true.  Two retail games and indie, indie, indie.  I'm not impressed.  I'm not impressed with the Xbox One games either, but atleast the secured some exclusives.  It's Microsoft though, so that's understandable.  *folds a moneyhat.*

The difference between Microsoft securing all those exclusive digital titles, even if they were all on PC, is they were the first console to actually embrace digital only titles.  Sony on the PS3 had digital only games here and there, but it wasn't until the two years that they've been pushing for indies because it's become popular.  Ever since Sony started pushing for indies, it's been indie this indie that, indie, indie, indie, indie, indie.

As much of a Sony fan as I am, it's only one of the issues I have with them as a company.  People says that Sony copies and that's party true.  If something is really popular Sony takes the idea and goes with it, but when Sony does it, they push the idea like they were there first, like the idea hasn't ever been around, so they force it down our throats and us, their fans, honestly don't give two shits.  The thing is.  By the time Sony actually gets in to capitalize, no one really even cares anymore.  Motion control was done and by the time Sony released the Move, everyone already owned a Wii and tried it out already, and very few people actually cared to purchase it.  Sony releases the Vita and acts like they're first with a touch screen console gaming, so most of their first party games throw out forced touch screen controls to try and  get us into the touch screen aspect.  Now it's the indies that were already played out well before this year and the hype is dying down.

The tears in this thread are tasty.

XBL HAD a lot of indies...on 360. This time around, at least for the time being they seem to have all migrated to playstation. Back in 360's dry spells many would say "Well I still have plenty to play on Arcade" which is fine. Yet now 80% of all of them are appearing on PS4 exclusively(as in not on XBO), timed or not. I'm just saying they mattered then, and they still matter now, maybe even more so at launch were there is less to play on either console.

I also was refering to non indies ,stuff that isn't releasing at Retail. DC Universe, Planetside 2, and Warframe will be available for download at launch. Some highly rated (well at least PS2 and DCU kinda are) F2P MMO style games. These games are not "Lineup Padding", they are the real deal (except maybe Warframe lol).

I also find it funny that some of these are very similar to what Titanfall is trying to accomplish. Dust 514 and Planetside 2 are both similar in scope and theme. I'm baffled as to why Titanfall is being hailed as some sort of completely original idea when Sony has been doing these styles of games for a while (MAG, Warhawk, KZ3 had Mechs and jetpacks, Starhawk, etc).

I'm not an FPS fan unless it's Unreal, and the reason I'm interested in Titanfall is because the game has verticality to it.  You can quickly run across stages Mirror's Edge like, you can jump from the ground into windows on the second floor of buildings and jump to the roof.  It's still keeping the military shooter theme, but it's pushing towards less camping with the movement that they offer now.  They even add a bit of Mechwarrior into the game with the Titans.
