To be honest, I doubt Sony actually cares if it looses a customer or two, they will be selling millions of these consoles in the end. :P
On the flip side they wouldn't care if they sold an extra console or two either, they certainly wouldn't send anyone flowers and cake for doing so.
However, you are free to buy whatever platform you desire for whatever reason you want, that is your right as a consumer, but don't let a community hold you back from what's most important when it comes to gaming which is having fun, regardless of the platform.

Whoa there, little buck-a-roo! I got a 360 (and PS3) and I've had a blast every year!

Wow, its hard to comprehend the fact that xbox fans are conveniently ignoring the massive gap in frame rate and stability. Visual appeal is up to one's own interpretation, framerate and resolution however are not. Would you explain this to me down below?

Just like the 360, the Xbone probably oversaturates the gamma. Next gen crushed black levels confirmed.

I'll be getting a PS4 but end result is that the X1 version still looks good and runs at much more than 60fps.
